Letter of Recommendation Alison Wild 1
Alison stands out not only for her profound commitment to her students' academic
success but also for her extraordinary organizational prowess. In her classroom, she
consistently demonstrates a remarkable ability to structure and deliver engaging
lessons that captivate her students' attention while effectively achieving learning
objectives. Her lessons are not only informative but also interactive, fostering a dynamic
learning environment that cultivates curiosity and critical thinking among her
students. One example that comes to mind is her use of technology and knowledge of
how to engage her students while using her document camera during a literacy lesson.
Alison pretended she was a YouTuber on camera and students followed along while
engaged with hands-on materials (playdoh) to practice segmenting and blending
sounds in words.
Moreover, since West Meadow Elementary is a Leader in Me school, Alison has played
an integral role in our school's academic Action Team, particularly in the design and
implementation of our school goal-setting scoreboard over the last two years. Her
insights, attention to detail, and innovative design abilities have significantly contributed
to the development of this vital tool for tracking and measuring our progress towards
academic excellence. Alison's dedication to this initiative extends beyond mere
participation; she has actively communicated updates and information about the action
team's activities to our staff, ensuring transparency and fostering a sense of shared
purpose among our faculty.
Beyond her exceptional organizational skills and contributions to our academic
initiatives, Alison is a valued colleague known for her collaborative spirit,
professionalism, and unwavering work ethic. She consistently goes above and beyond
in supporting her peers and contributing to the overall success of our school
community.
Sincerely,
Heather MacDonald
