GampolaUrbanCouncilspreadinawide rangeareaandthelandisveryimportant because its full fill with natural resources. The city belongs to the hill countryofSriLanka.Gampolacityfaced huge waste problem like other local authorities. They were looking many solutions but didnt work anything. HELPO able carries out biogas unit in Slaughterhousewithusinglocalauthority financialsupport.

Wehavedevelopedthemechanismsolve the institution solid waste problem and that process totally costeffective and economically viable program. Successfullyimplementedandintroduced tomanyinstitutionsalreadyandthemall able to solve the waste problem and earning from throwing waste. Also reducethetreattodiseases

Nowbiogasunitbeenconstructedby HELPO within the month. Urban council was much suffers from the wasteproblem.Slaughterhouseisone of major place that huge scale waste generated. At the moment 05 houses are getting biogas for cooking purposeandUCcollectsRs.500from each beneficiary house for using the biogas. Now there is no threat for human from the slaughterhouse waste.

Urban council expects to start more biogas units within the region. Next step is start biogas units at Hospital and Market. The funds for this program provided Urban Council Gampola because they been realized thisisacosteffectiveprogram.
