    Re: Closure of Schools due to Coronavirus precautionary measures

    Unit 7: Respiration and Breathing.

    Instructions: Students are to research the following topics, make notes of them and read them
    thoroughly. Note Well: Short YouTube videos can also be watched to better understand
    these topics.

    1) Define aerobic respiration and state its products.


    2) Explain how energy from ATP is released to form ADP and do work in the cell
    3) Define anaerobic respiration as it occurs in muscle and in yeasts and bacteria and
    explain its industrial applications
    4) Compare and contrast aerobic and anaerobic respiration.
    5) Explain how lactic acid produces oxygen debt.
    6) Describe the structures and functions of the respiratory system.
    7) Define gaseous exchange and the characteristic of surfaces where it occurs.

    Please take note: Students must do all these in


    their notebooks and present at school on the first
    day we return.
