• It deals with interactions and connections with other people, friends,
family, loved ones, and acquaintances.
• Interpersonal relationship is a relationship with other people that goes
beyond oneself.
• As social beings, we tend to be influenced by what other people think of
us.
• Our family serves as our first educators in social interactions.
• As humans, we learn that blending in is one of the most significant acts
we could ever learn.

FRIENDSHIP
• It is an unconditional interpersonal
relationship that individuals tend to enter
based on their own will and choice.
• A kind of relationship in which there are
no formalities, and the individuals just
enjoy each other’s presence.
• Gender is irrelevant in friendship.
• The more you are exposed to different
genders, the more you understand your
sexuality.

• Individuals without any feelings or sexual
desire for each other.
• A man and woman are only friends.
• They don’t mix love with friendship.
• Sometimes, PR ends up in a RR when
friends slowly develop mutual love and
fall in love with each other.
Romantic Relationship
• Love is an interpersonal relationship
characterized by passion, trust, and
respect.
• Individuals who are in a romantic
relationship are deeply attached to
each other and share a special bond.
TRIANGULAR THEORY OF LOVE
ROBERT STERNBERG pictures three
components of love:
• INTIMACY refers to close, warm
feelings.
• PASSION is the primary sexual urge
or drives to love.
• DECISION-COMMITMENT is the
short-term decision to love and the
long-term commitment to maintain
the love.

• Our love for them is special because
we are tied to them by blood.

RELATIONSHIP
• Individuals who are working together for the same
cause.
• Colleagues
• They may or may not like each other.
• When they are working harmoniously together, they
are more productive and they achieve greater
heights for their company.
• When they dislike each other, they may end up
having conflicts and may affect the whole operation
of the company.
