PRESCRIBING INCENTIVES TO BARANGAY SANITARY INSPECTORS (BSI) IN THE
MUNICIPALITY OF LAMUT AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREOF
EXPLANATORY NOTE
Pursuant to Executive Order No. 33, Series of 2017 issued on October 19, 2017, by
the Municipal Mayor, Atty. Mariano B. Buyagawan, Jr., the Local Government Unit (LGU)
mandates all Barangays to designate a Barangay Sanitary Inspector.
The Local Government Unit (LGU) recognizes the vital role of Barangay Sanitary
Inspectors (BSI) in promoting the health and general welfare of its constituents.
Towards this end, the LGU shall ensure and promote the well-being of the BSI as
providers of basic services in their respective communities.
For the effective administration and implementation of legislations related to
environmental health and providing support to minimize health and safety hagands,
the hiring of BSI has been required in all barangays.
Incentives for the eighteen (18) Barangay Sanitary Inspector (BSI) in the municipality is
thus, prescribed.
Be it enacted by the Sangguniang Bayan of Lamut, Ifugao in session duly assembled:
SECTION 1. TITLE. This Ordinance shall be known as “Barangay Sanitary Inspector
Incentive Ordinance of 2020”. »
SECTION 2. COVERAGE. This Ordinance shall cover all Barangay Sanitary Inspectors
duly appointed by their respective Barangay Captains in the Municipality of Lamut,
Province of Ifugao.
SECTION 3. INCENTIVES. Each Barangay Sanitary Inspector shall receive an amount of
Five Hundred Pesos (P500.00) per month only from the Municipal Local Government
Unit of Lamut,.
SECTION 4. FUNDING. The amount of One Hundred Eight Thousand Pesos
(P108,000.00) shall be appropriated from the General Fund of the Local Government
Unit and which shall be included in the 2021 Annual Budget and every year thereafter.
Yop OfSECTION 5. SEPARABILITY CLAUSE. In the event that any provision of this Ordinance
or the application thereof to any person is declared invalid by competent authority, the
remainder not otherwise declared shall remain in force and in effect.
SECTION 6. EFFECTIVITY. This Ordinance shall take effect upon approval and
availability of fund.
ENACTED AND APPROVED this 14" day of July 2020 by the Sangguniang Bayan of
Lamut, Ifugao.
