Only visual External and internal inspections, were conducted on the Regenerator Gas Scrubber
V-9209, situated at OGDCL Qadir Pur Field. During inspection time no major abnormalities
observed.

1. SCOPE OF INSPECTION:

Inspection of Particle Filter was performed by carrying out the following;

Visual External inspection as per API-510

Visual Internal Inspection as per API-510

2 ANTICIPATED DAMAGE MECHANISM:

The provided data including operating parameters, design specifications and material of
composition were reviewed and evaluated in accordance with API 571 Recommended Practice.
The Equipment is susceptible to the following damage mechanism;

4 EXTENAL INSPECTION FINDINGS:

During external visual inspection following observations were made;

The external welding condition found satisfactory.

External protective coatings was found satisfactory.

External protective coatings were found to be damaged on the flange nozzle and at

random locations on the shell.

Saddle supports were found to be in satisfactory condition, and no major anomalies were

observed.

The visual condition of all nozzle weld joints was found to be satisfactory.

The visual condition of all nozzle flanges was found to be satisfactory.

Vessel shells, dish ends, and welds were inspected for evidence of dents and bulges, and

none were observed.

The vessel was found to be free of any major cuts and gouges during the visual

inspection.

No major signs of corrosion and pitting were observed externally.

The overall condition of the shells and both dishes was found to be satisfactory.

5 INTERNAL INSPECTION:
Internal condition of shell and bottom was found satisfactory.

No corrosion and rusting were observed on the inside surface of the shell.

The condition of the demister pad was found to be in good condition.

Internally, bottom dish end surface cannot inspect due to limited access.

6 RECOMMENDATION/REPAIR:
Deteriorated paint spots and deliberately removed paint areas need to be repainted.

Apply the protective coating to all shell surfaces as well as the flange to nozzle.

External corrosion on the bottom dish end and its support needs to be removed, and the
proper paint coating should be applied after the corrosion is removed.

All nozzle flanges need to be inspected in the next turnaround interval.

The inside surface of the bottom dish end needs to be inspected in the next turnaround
interval.

7 CONCLUSIONS:

Based on the results of visual inspection, overall assessment of the pressure vessel, it is
concluded that Regeneration Gas Scrubber V-9209 is safe to operate at the current operating
parameters until the next recommended inspection interval.
