"Adult youths are often called up for working for
the development of communities.

Do you think they should work voluntarily or

should they get paid?

Give your opinion in no less than 250 words."

 INTRODUCTION
The development of communities requires the
vibrant energy充满活力的能量 of young blood.

There are many volunteer programs, in most z

communities, where the young utilize利用 their
vigour活力 for the good of men.

But, to ascertain树立 the involvement of the

young adult in community development, I believe
monetary incentives金钱激励 should be there.
PARAGRAPH 1
It is true that one should not wait for material
advantage物质优势s before trying to contribute to
his society.

The drive for helping others should be an integral

part of one’s moral integrity道德操守。

But too often the modern man is compelled to被迫

shun that避免 which is moral and embrace怀抱
what is beneficial materially物质上有益, directly,
and to himself.

Aside from the weakness of character shown in

such cases, by man, often his morality succumbs to
屈服于 the rising need需求上升 for sustaining
oneself independently独立维持自己
 PARAGRAPH 2
Ages ago the youth was spared from such
desperation免于这种绝望, by the cooperative
social structure合作社会结构 of then当年. But
now, every adult is out on his own.

So, to neutralize the economic pressure

为了消除经济压力 blocking the adult young
from participating in community development,

Governments should arrange monetary

incentives金钱激励 for them.

By that way they can sustain 维持 themselves

and the community at the same time.
PARAGRAPH 3 A more practical perspective更实际的观点
may tell us that today’s age is really not so
much compatible with兼容 volunteering.

In many developed countries, even the

police force is run profitably有利可图.

And CSR of profit motivated enterprises

has started replacing non-profit
philanthropy慈善事业.

So to expect adults, young or not, to

volunteer for community development is
only cacophony杂音 amidst the modern
melody of social building and maintenance
在现代旋律中.
 CONCLUSION
In the end, though, a conclusion to this
argument relies on circumstantial judgement
环境判断, and balancing of individual and
social interests.

While money will motivate a permanent

source of energy for developing communities,

youths should not wait for a cost benefit

analysis before saving a community in dire
straits惨境.
