Lab work #1

1. Open Desktop of Admin PC and enter the Ip-Address of WC-1 with HTTPS protocol (192.68.200.254)

2. It will redirect you to the Wireless Lan Controller .

3. Enter the login credentials ( username: admin password: Cisco123)

4. Go to the Wlan tab and create new ( click go for next step)

5. Create the Profile Name, SSID and ID ( Floor Employees 2, SSID-5, 5 (optional as to keep
consistent with vlan number and SSID)) click apply to continue and click Enabled to make
the WLAN functional

6. Click on the General Tab and edit the Profile Name, SSID. Enabled the status and select the
interface to WLAN-5 and click apply to continue

7. Click the advanced tab, scroll down to find the FlexConnect option. Enabled the
FLexConnect Local Switching and Local Auth. Click apply to continue

8. Go to the Security tab, select WPA + WPA2 as Layer 2 security, enable WPA2 Policy and
Encryption, Enable the PSK Authentication.

9. Enter the password optional ( for here I enter Cisco123 as same password). Click apply to
save settings and continue

10. Go to Wireless Host Desktop and select PC Wireless

11. Click the Connect tab, the SSID-5 will appear after a short delay. Select it and click the
connect button

12. Enter the pre-shared key from the same password of WLAN configured

13. Go to Link Information tab and Click More Information to see the details of connection

14. Go to Ip configuration at Pc Wireless Desktop and whether the host have receive the Ip
address over DHCP.

15. Ping the WLAN default gateway and Server to verify full connectivity

Lab work #2

1. Login to Desktop Admin Pc and select the browser


2. Connect to the IP address of the WLC over https://192.168.200.254
3. Enter the username and password
4. Go to Controller menu and click interfaces
5. Create new interface name (WLAN-5, Vlan Id 5).Click apply to continue.

IP Address: 192.168.5.254
Netmask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.5.1
Primary DHCP server: 192.168.5.1
Set the port number as 1.

Never forget click apply and save configuration so WLC will be in effect

7. Click the Security menu.


8. Click the New button to continue
9. Enter Ip address of the Radius Server, and use Cisco123 for the shared secret value.Confirm
the info and click apply

10. To create WLAN entry, click the New button at WLANs and Go.

11. Create the Wlan as follows: Profile Name : Floor 2 Employees , SSID : SSID-5 , ID : 5

Click apply to accept the settings.

12. Go to General Tab. Make sure to click enabled for wlan to be functional. Select the
Interface/Interface Group(G) for WLAN-5.

13. Go to Advanced tab. Scroll to FlexConnect and enable FlexConnect Local Switching and
FLexConnet Local Auth

Click apply to save your settings.

14. Go to Security Tab and select WPA+ WPA 2 to configure the security.

15. Enable WPA2 Policy and Encryption and 802.1X.

16. Click AAA servers and select the RADIUS IP and port in server 1.

Click apply to continue and save your settings.

17. In the left hand menu, expand the Internal DHCP Server and select DHCP Scope.

18. Go and create Wired Management in the new button as new DHCP scope

19. Enter the value for the Pool Start and End Address. Select the status as Enabled

Enter the values for Network, Netmask and Default Routers too. Click apply to save the
settings

20. Click Management menu and expand the SMNP and select Trap Receivers and create New
21. Named the SMNP as WLAN_SMNP and the IP address ( 172.31.1.254).

Click apply to save the configuration

22. Go to Wireless Host and select PC Wireless app. Click the Profiles tab and create new. Name
the profile WLC NET.

23. Go to Advanced Setup and verify Wireless Network Name.

24. Click next and make sure DHCP Settings have selected.

25. In Security box, select he WPA2-Enterprise.Click Next

26. Enter Login name as user1, the password is User1Password

27. Verify the Profile Settings and click Save.

28. Click connect to Network

29. The Wireless Host connec t to LAP-1

30. Ping the Radius Server ,Default Gateway and SW1.

Successful ping indicate full connectivity of the topology.
