JAME ASR’ MOSQUE

The largest mosque of Brunei. Built in

honor of the current Sultan Hassanal
Bolkiah, it is one of the two national
mosques of Brunei. The glittering
golden domes of Jame'Asr Hassanil
Bolkiah Mosque create an aura of
grandeur and mystery.

It is based on the Moorish Andalusia
architecture. It is the first mosque to
have a retractable roof based on
Moroccon inspiration. An attractive
courtyard filled with fountains
surround the mosque. Step inside and

It has earned a nickname “The Venice

of the East” the largest water village in
the world. Kampung Ayer is a strange
