Population and Sample

1.1. Population Size

The entire population comprises of persons who seek dialysis treatment. Patients
of the Purivo Dialysis Centre Ltd make up the accessible population. Within the
accessible population, 100 persons, which represents 10% of the total population
will make up the target group for the survey.

1.1. Sampling Criteria

Patients who have enrolled in the clinic within the last year will be the sampling
criteria from the accessible population. 100 participants will make up the sample.

3.3. Demographics

The demographic target exhibits males and females in Trinidad under the age of
60. This population was chosen because in 2020, there were 439 deaths. Studies
have shown that kidney diseases can develop at any time, but those over 60 are
more likely not to develop kidney disease.
