After the video presentation, ask the learners to draw a volcano showing its
internal parts and the materials extruded by the volcano. Call someone from the
class to discuss his/her work. Collect their work after the class.
Most of these learners have no idea of the Pinatubo eruption in 1991. Share to
them a little experience of yours or a little of what you know about the eruption. If
there is a closer volcano in your region, use that volcano instead.
Let the learners formulate their learned concepts about a volcano. You may ask
the following questions:
 What is the difference between a mountain and a volcano?
 What are the internal parts of a volcano?
 What are the materials that a volcano ejects?

On a piece of paper, let the learners write 3 things they have learned about the
