DETAILS OF THE ACTIVITY
Description of the activity:
The SLAC session on promoting understanding on Gender and Development successfully
achieved its objectives of providing a comprehensive understanding of gender and
development, challenging gender stereotyping, and addressing gender bias. The participants
left the session with a heightened awareness of the importance of gender equality and a sense
of responsibility to contribute to its advancement.

Highlights (Insights / relevant learning/issues and concerns):

SLAC session on Gender and Development served as a platform for promoting awareness,
dialogue, and action towards a more equitable and inclusive society. The insights gained from
the session will undoubtedly contribute to the participants' personal growth and their ability
to drive positive change in their respective communities
Recommendations:
To further promote understanding on gender and development, it is recommended to:
1. Conduct follow-up sessions to delve deeper into specific areas of gender and development.
2. Provide training and resources to help participants integrate gender-inclusive practices in
their personal and professional lives.
3. Collaborate with local organizations and institutions to organize community-driven gender
empowerment initiatives.
The session facilitated the exploration of strategies to promote gender equality and provided a
platform for participants to collaborate and support each other in creating an inclusive and
equal society. The LAC hopes that this session will contribute to positive social change and
further empower individuals in actively advocating for gender equality.
