I. OBJECTIVES (CODE)
A. CONTENT STANDARD
The learner demonstrates understanding of fitness and exercise in optimizing one’s health as a habit; as
requisite for physical activity assessment performance, and as a career opportunity.
B. PERFORMANCE STANDARD
The learner leads fitness events with proficiency and confidence resulting in independent pursuit and in
influencing others positively.
C. MOST ESSENTIAL LEARNING COMPETENCY
Engages in moderate to vigorous physical activities (MVPAs) for at least 60 minutes most days of the week
in a variety of settings in-and out-out-of school (PEH11FH-Ia-t-8)
D. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

ACTIVITY
To introduce the topic, let the students dance the “Galaw Pilipinas”. Then ask them the
following:

QUESTIONS:
1. What do you feel while dancing?
2. What do you feel after dancing?
3. Do you exercise?
4. Do you have physical activities in your home?
5. So, what do you think is our topic?

ANALYSIS
The teacher will ask the students what is the nature of moderate to vigorous physical
activities.

QUESTIONS:
1. In your own idea, what are the moderate to vigorous activities?
2. Is it important to have moderate to vigorous physical activities? Why?
3. Is it important to have physical activities in hme and in school?

ABSTRACTION
The teacher will present the MODERATE TO VIGOROUS PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES through
power point presentation in the television and divide the class into 2 groups. But, the let the
students read, explain and execute the examples of the MODERATE TO VIGOROUS
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES with the facilitation by the teacher.

Moderate-intensity activities are those that get you moving fast enough or strenuously
enough to burn off three to six times as much energy per minute as you do when you
are sitting quietly, or exercises that clock in at 3 to 6 METs. Vigorous-intensity
activities burn more than 6 METs.
