Please note that this requirement is only for Rack based Manufacturing Line.
Technical Requirements-:
1. Manufacturing Line:
a. Fully Rack Based Automatic Line
b. Full PLC Control.
c. SCADA implemented.
d. Flexibility in Manufacturing Line to cater any process or specification change in
future. (Eg: ZnNi)
2. Plant Requirement:
a. Covered Plant to avoid any kind of Contamination.
b. Dedicated & Enclosed Shop Floor Area (Contamination Free).
c. Separate & Covered Area for Incoming & Finished Material.
d. Separate Inspection Area.
e. All Environment related & Legal Compliance.
f. Further Capacity Expansion Plan (If Required).
g. RO Plant for Water Purification/De-Mineralisation.
3. Testing & Inspection Requirement:
a. Volumetric Analysis Lab. (Titration Lab)
b. Salt Spray Test Chamber & CASS Chamber.
c. Plating Thickness Testing Equipments – Non-destructive.
d. Hull Cell Test Availability.
e. Metallurgical Microscope & Hardness Tester.
4. Traceability Requirement: Following Documents must be stored for a minimum period of
10 years -
a. All Production related data (Shop floor process controls / Lab Testing etc.)
b. Input Chemical / Material Test certificates
c. Water Quality Verification Reports
d. Equipment Calibration Records
5. Experience of Plating:
a. Supplier should have good electroplating experience for Auto Components and
furnish the details of existing customers and collaborations.
b. Supplier should have knowledge to advanced production & Quality systems
applicable in Auto Industry.
c. Supplier should have the knowledge of JIT/DOL Systems.
d. Supplier should be familiar with web based supply chain concept.
e. Supplier should be capable of meeting consistent process capability details.
6. Manpower Requirement:
a. A proper organisation structure should be available with clear identification of
KPI’s.
b. Experienced, trained and technically educated (e.g. Chemical Science) manpower
should be available to handle areas like Testing, production, quality Etc.
7. Miscellaneous Requirements:
a. All Chemicals to be used for Production must be procured from a supplier of
International repute to ensure Quality.
b. Storage of Chemicals must be done in an Air conditioned / Humidity controlled
area.
c. System for Auto-Dosing of Chemicals in Bath.
d. Process Control System – Barcode based.
e. Shop Floor should have location marking (for Rack, Trolley etc.).
f. All Shop Floor/Lab processes must have defined Operation Standards e.g -:
- Acceptance Criteria for Incoming Part’s Rust Level must be defined as a
critical parameter.
- Water Quality verification must be ensured at regular frequency (weekly).
- Chemical Bath cleaning frequency- Once in Every Fortnight.
- Calibration Frequency of All Facilities must be defined and adhered as per
Process requirement.
g. Baking Furnace must be a part of Automatic Continuous Line and must have-:
- Poka-Yoke to ensure Hydrogen De-embrittlement operation / Baking
within 2 hrs of Plating.
- Poka-Yoke to prevent Heap Formation of parts
- Actual Part Temperature measurement once a week following TTR
concept.
Other Details-:
1. Timelines: All EOI’s should reach MSIL with a proposal on or before 20th Nov’15. The
proposal should contain the following-:
a. Background and existing business details.
b. Fulfilment of each of the above mentioned criteria by-:
i. Sharing a detailed project report.
ii. Filling up the attached check-sheet.
c. Project Plan mentioning important milestone till SOP. Tentative SOP shall be July
2016.
