804.1. General

804.1.1. Description
The ventilation plants that will be executed in the maintenance workshop from the
maintenance and coordination are the following:
- dyeing workshop – general removal plant with hydro-filtration and compression
plant with fresh air, warmed in the winter ;
- welding workshop – local ventilation plant at the welding table ;
- batteries repairing workshop – local ventilation plant with the hood at the
working desk ;
- batteries charging workshop – removal plant with the polluting gasses trapping
under the roof and at the floor and accident ventilation with deflector;
- generating set – general ventilation plant for heat evacuation ;
- RT hall and shed – local ventilation plant of the revision and catching canals of
the gas escapement.
All the machines, materials and prefabrication can be introduced into the work only if
they are in accordance with the project, if they had been delivered with the quality
certificate and if they weren’t deteriorated during the storage and handling.
It will be checked the existence of the testing and quality certificates at the machines
(described below) and the indicated characteristics in these certificates will be
confronted with those in the project, as well as those written on the tickets fixed on the
equipment, at:
- ventilators ;
- pumps ;
- air warming batteries.
Plants’ materials that are not affected by the atmospheric conditions will be stored
outside in stacks or rack during the storage period, on concrete or ballast platforms,
special placed for this scope, in accordance with the norms of the work’s security
technique.
Materials that could be affected by the atmospheric conditions (ex. frames with blinds,
ventilators, steel sheets, etc.) will be stored under sheds and they will be covered with
tarpaulins or polyethylene sheets.
The sheet-metal plate will be laid down horizontally on wood, not on the land.
At the air channels of black sheet-metal confection the admitted limits are the following:

Longitudinal jointing of the steel sheet plates so that sections are made straight will be
realized through rabbets for the black steel sheet plates with weight of 1,2 mm
including through welding with flame without any other materials, for the black steel
sheets plates with weights of 1,5 mm or bigger.

The longitudinal rabbets necessary to assemble the steel plates will be executed as it
follows:

- Double rabbets, for weights of the steel sheets until 0,80 mm (included);
- simple rabbets, for weights of 1 mm or bigger;
- corner rabbets, for weights until 0,80 mm (included) where the pipes with
rectangular section are closed.
The simple or double will be very well sealed, uniform pressed and without
ondulations. The rabbets will be pressed only in the exterior part, to assure a smooth
interior surface.
For simple rabbets execution borders with widths of 17 mm on a side and of 8 mm on
the other side will be made. For double rabbets, these widths will be of 28 mm and 15
mm.
Longitudinal joining through welding with flame will be realized through curbing the
steel sheet plates edges in perpendicular plan that will be assembled, on a equal
height to 3 times the steel sheet plates widths and through edges’ meltion (without
supplementary material).
Welding bend widths realized in these conditions will not open-pass twice the widths of
the assembled plates.
The straight sections heights will be established in function of the steel sheet plate
dimensions, of the transport and assembling conditions. The realization of sections
with maximum possible weight it is followed.
Transversal joining (joining for head to head assembling of straight sections and
special pieces, through rabbets or collars.
Transversal joining through rabbets is admitted in those cases when they can be
realized through mechanized means and when supporting, assured means exist:
- or horizontal tubing, in such way that between 2 transversal consecutive
joining there is at least one supporting or suspension point ;
- of vertical tubing, in such way that through the assembling way, the transversal
joining will be solicited for admissible loads.
At the air canals with the site bigger than 500 mm, the rabbets for transversal joining,
will be enforced with electric welding reverts or points situated at distances of 250 mm.
The tubing joined with rabbets will have from place to place joining with collars,
foreseen so that dismantling possibilities can be created, according to the assembling
conditions or to the specific requirements of the plant.
The joining with collars will be used, especially in those cases, when special conditions
of stiffness, sealing dismantling of the air tubing have to be realized, as well as for
canals with the side bigger than 600 mm. Collars material, the halls for screws and the
installing way for the air canals will be established in function of the canals dimensions,
according to the given information in the type details catalogue.
The joining winth collars will have sealing sets, that are assembled between collars
and made of soft pasteboard, cardboard or soft caoutchouc with the width of 4 mm.
The sets will be cut and assembled in such way that their edges can not penetrate in
the interior of the air canal.
The assembling works of the ventilation plants will be coordinated with the
construction’s achievement works and especially with the auxiliary construction works
(platforms, supports, halls, etc.). When the ventilation and construction works are
programmed, the followings will be followed:
- handling and putting on position the big pieces that belong to the ventilation
plants will be done through free spaces in walls or platforms without braking the builder
elements;

- the construction will allow the raising machines used for the introduction of big
and hard pieces in the building and in the ventilation station;
- introduction in the proper time of the catching and fixing dispositives in the
construction elements;
- the introduction of the ventilation elements in the rooms where are going to be
settled up, will be done just before the semblance, to reduce the expose to damages
that could be provoked by other works made in that room.
The air canals will be settled up in straight ling. Arrows or deviations are not admitted.
The air canals settled up vertically will not have deviations from vertical bigger than 2 –
3 mm on 1 m height.
When the canal portions are made, the section semblance will be made in such way
that the longitudinal rabbets to be disposed alternatively so that the continued joint will
not be formed.
Air canals supporting will be made with supporting types of elements. At the horizontal
canal, the supporting will be foreseen at the distance-indicated bellow:

IMPORTANT:

To the ventilation tubing adherent to the fire danger rooms A, B and C the electric
continuity will be realized and it will connected to earth for the static electricity flowing.
The air canals will be executed according to the prescriptions of the following state
standards:
- STAS 9660-1987
- STAS 2028-1980
- SR CR 12792:1999

804.2. Quality control for acceptance

Quality control for acceptance: quality of materials, apparatus and equipment, observing
characteristics from design, preliminary works, observing of technology, assemblage,
location, minimal spacing, dimensions, tightness, mechanical proper operation, electrical
operation, start of operation, adjustment of plant as norms from reference documents from
these specifications.
