Applicants must be holders of PhD degree in any of the following discipline: Agricultural Entomology, Insect Pest Management or Crop Protection with a bias to Insect Pest Management. They must have a minimum of three (3) years teaching experience at University level or relevant research experience of three (3) years. They should have a minimum of two (2) publications in refereed journals or two (2) chapters in scholarly books since finishing their PhD. They should show evidence of continuing activity. Successful candidates will be expected to teach and supervise both undergraduate and postgraduate students. They will also be expected to initiate research in their areas of specialization. LECTURER, DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL AND INFORMATION ENGINEERING AC/10/117/10 (CAE) (1 POST) Applicants should have a PhD degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or an equivalent qualification. Applicants with a Masters degree should have a minimum of three (3) years teaching experience at University level. institution. Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) or B.A. Design with seven (7) working experience as a Senior Technologist will also be considered. PROGRAM CO-ORDINATOR, MARPs PROJECT, CENTRE FOR HIV PREVENTION AND RESEARCH (CHIVPR) AC/10/123/10 (CHS) (1 POST) (NAIROBI OFFICE) Applicants should be holders of Masters Degree in Public Health, MBChB or equivalent. He/she should be computer literate. They should have a minimum of five (5) experience in a similar position and knowledge of HIV/AIDS issues will be required. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day technical oversight and management of the clinical and prevention services. He/she will work closely with the Program Director and co Directors. He/s he will also be the secretary of the project steering committee, link person between the project field team, program directors, co-directors, stakeholders forum, CDC-Kenya team and the Ministry of Healthy officials on all matters related to the clinical and HIV prevention activities. DATA MANAGER, MARPs PROJECT, CENTRE FOR HIV PREVENTION AND RESEARCH (CHIVPR) AC/10/124/10 (CHS) (1 POST) (NAIROBI OFFICE) Applicants should have Bachelor Degree in Research Methods (Quantitative and Qualitative Techniques) or related field. He/she should have at least five (5) years experience in similar positions. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating clinical database templates and tabulating program data. He/she will be generating the required monthly and quarterly reports or MOH and CDC-PEPFAR. He/she will also be ensure the source documents are safeguarded and that optimal data quality is maintained, supervise the data entry team and maintain a clean log frame of data queries and how they have been resolved. He/She will report to the Program Director. Please note that this is a one year contract renewable on mutual agreement. MEDICAL OFFICER, OPH PROJECT- DEPARTMENT OF PAEDIATRICS AND CHILD HEALTH AC/10/125/10 (CHS) (1 POST) Applicants should be holders of a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree or its equivalent from a recognized University and must be registered as Medical Practioners in Kenya. Experience in HIV treatment is required. Candidates must have completed the human subjects training and good Clinical Practice. Experience in HIV related research will be an added advantage. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct screening, enrolment and follow-up of patients in a phase three (3) clinical. PROJECT DOCTOR, MARPs PROJECT, CENTRE FOR HIV PREVENTION AND RESEARCH (CHIVPR) AC/10/126/10 (CHS) (2 POSTS) (CENTRAL AND EASTERN PROVINCES) Applicants should hold a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree or its equivalent from the University of Nairobi or other recognized University. They should have interest in STI/HIV/AIDS management. Applicants should have at least two (2) years experience in similar position. They should be computer literate. The successful candidates should liaise with the Program Directors and Coordinator to provide clinical and technical leadership. They should also assist in management issues at site level and oversee activities that will include HIV testing of all MARPs, HIV exposed patients, provide STI/HIV management to infected clients and manage opportunities infections. They should support counsellors and other site staff and conducting on-the job training and follow up systems/mechanisms for data collection , management and maintenance of records. The successful candidate should provide leadership in technical discussions with visiting parties.

PROJECT DOCTOR, PACE PROJECT, DEPARTMENT OF CLINICAL MEDICINE AND THERAPEUTICS AC/10/127/10 (CHS) (1 POST) Applicants should be holders of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree from a recognized University and registered with the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board with a valid practice license. Those with a Master of Medicine (M.Med) degree in Internal Medicine or Public Health will have an added advantage. Reporting to the Chairman of Department, through the Co-PIs, the successful candidate will be expected to assist various program leads in the coordination of technical activities including HIV Training Needs Assessment, Curricula Review and Revision, Course Design and Delivery as well as mentorship and supervision in HIV Prevention, Treatment and Support. He/she will also handle proposal writing and preparation of reports to donors, training and participating institutions. This will be a full-time position. Prior work experience in the field of HIV Programming within the public sector will be an added advantage. Computer literacy is desirable. This appointment will be on a one year contract renewable subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funds. SITE CO-ORDINATOR, MARPs PROJECT, CENTRE FOR HIV PREVENTION AND RESEARCH (CHIVPR) AD/10/136/10 (CHS) (2 POSTS) (CENTRAL AND EASTERN PROVINCES) Applicants should be holders of B.Sc. in Nursing and should also be computer literate. They should have a minimum of five (5) experience in a similar position and knowledge of HIV/AIDS issues will be required. Successful candidates should be responsible in conjunction with the program coordinator and project doctor for the day to day management of the clinics. They should support the site mobilization activities, community engagement issues and overall staff performance evaluation. They should also draw and maintain a duty roster that encompasses extended working roles to the extent possible and keeping track of the set targets, scheduling the sharing of best practices with partners and stakeholders on site, quality assurance: data capture and maintenance of clean source documents and supervision, ensure availability and proper use supplies at the site and ensure proper use of resources: financial, human and transportation an other assets. PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR, MARPs PROJECT, CENTRE FOR HIV PREVENTION AND RESEARCH (CHIVPR) AD/10/137/10 (CHS) (1 POST) (NAIROBI OFFICE) Applicants should be holders of Degree in Business Administration or related field and should be computer literate. He/she should have a minimum of five (5) years experience in a similar position. The successful candidate should be a member of the project steering committee responsible for all administrative aspects related to the PEPFAR program. He/she should also solve administrative matters: Logistics, arranging meetings, identifying venues, bookings and appointments, field trips, accommodation issues, following-up with suppliers. Also should be taking minutes for all program meetings, work closely with the program director, co-directors, coordinator and the budget/financial administrator. FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATOR, KEFA PROJECT, CENTRE FOR HIV PREVENTION AND RESEARCH (CHIVPR) AD/10/138/10 (CHS) (1 POST) (NAIROBI OFFICE) Applicants should be holders of Degree in Accounting or related field and CPA Part II. He/she should be computer proficiency in QuickBooks and other packages. He/she should have at least five (5) years experience in a similar position. The successful candidate should be expected to manage financial management and accounting and produce timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for the donor. He/she should also be expected to initiate procurement of supplies, maintain assets and supplies registers. He/she will also be expected to handle personnel and administrative matters relating to the Project and attending project meetings. He/she should report to the Principal Investigator. RESEARCH ASSISTANT, KEFA PROJECT, CENTRE FOR HIV PREVENTION AND RESEARCH (CHIVPR) AD/10/139/10 (CHS) (1 POST) (NAIROBI OFFICE) Applicants should be holders of Degree in Research Methods or related field. He/she should be computer proficiency and have at least five (5) years in a similar position and also have knowledge in HIV/AID issues. The successful candidate should be expected to participate in research Protocol Development and development of Research Instruments. He/she should also be expected to coordinate the process of submitting the Research Protocol to the Ethics and Research Board. He/she should also participate in recruitment and training/orientation of study research assistants, coordinate the process of field/pre-

testing of the study instruments and participate in field data collection. He/she should be reporting to the Principal Investigator. PROJECT ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, PACE PROJECT, DEPARTMENT OF CLINICAL MEDICINE AND THERAPEUTICS AD/10/140/10 (1 POST) (CHS) Applicants should hold a degree in Public Administration with working experience as an Administrative Assistant. Experience working with University of Nairobi projects will be an added advantage. The Administrative Assistant will handle the project administrative and secretarial duties which include, but are not limited to, typing, organizing travel, handling all correspondence and filing: as well as administrative duties, that include, but are not limited to Handling petty cash, entering the reconciliation of the petty cash expenditure in the excel spreadsheets, pasting and submitting receipts of the petty cash usage to the Grants Office at the University of Nairobi. He/she shall check all documentation concerning procurements, deliveries and distributions of equipments and materials and verify their correctness. He/she will coordinate all office logistics. IT ADMINISTRATOR, MARPs PROJECT, CENTRE FOR HIV PREVENTION AND RESEARCH (CHIVPR) AD/10/142/10 (CHS) (1 POST) (NAIROBI OFFICE) Applicants should be holders of Higher Diploma in Computing or related field. . He/she should have a minimum of five (5) years experience in a similar position. The successful candidiate should responsible for setting up the computerized patient records database, maintaining archival data, support in information technology for email and shared server, provide technical support on a day to day basis to all sites, ensure the internet links between the clinics and the central server operate optimally and ensure the Smart Card System works well. SENIOR TECHNOLOGIST GRADE DEF, DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY AD/10/143/10 (CBPS) (1 POST) Applicants should be holders of at least a KCSE C or KCE Division III certificate with credit passes in Chemistry, Physics and/or Mathematics. They must also be holders of a Higher Diploma in Applied Chemistry from a recognized institution. They should have at least three (3) years working experience in a busy Chemistry laboratory preferably a teaching or research laboratory. Applicants must be experienced in running practical classes, safety procedures and operation of general Chemistry laboratory instruments. Experience in repair and maintenance of Chemistry scientific instruments will be an added advantage. The successful candidate will be expected to run practical classes for both undergraduate and postgraduate students with minimal supervision under the Principal Technologist. CLINICAL OFFICERS, MARPs PROJECT, CENTRE FOR HIV PREVENTION AND RESEARCH (CHIVPR) AD/10/144/10 (CHS) (4 POSTS) (CENTRAL NAND EASTERN PROVINCES) Applicants should be holders of Diploma in Clinical Medicine from KMTC or its equivalent from recognized institutions. They should have three (3) years experience in a similar position and should also have knowledge in HIV/AIDS issues. The successful candidates should be expected to provide direct clinical care to all MARPs enrolled at the site. They should also work closely with the Project Doctor, Nurses, Counsellors and field teams and site staff. They should also be expected to do data collection and follow-up. NURSE/MOBILIZER/COUNSELOR, MARPs PROJECT, CENTRE FOR HIV PREVENTION AND RESEARCH (CHIVPR) AD/10/145/10 (CHS) (8 POSTS) (CENTRAL AND EASTERN PROVINCES) Applicants should be holders of KRCN and should be trained in HIV/AIDS counselling. They should have five (5) years experience in a similar position and have knowledge in STI/HIV/AIDS issues. The successful candidates should coordinate and provide oversight into the nursing issues in STI/ARV care and general HIV prevention and care. They should be able to participate in planned outreach efforts, support per education and prevent on with positive activities to identify more clients eligible for HIV care. They should also be responsible for health education, condom and contraceptives use demand creation and direct care of HIV infected or exposed persons. They should be able to provide counselling on prevention, opportunistic infections (OI) management and adherence to antiretroviral. They will also provide general HIV testing and adherence counselling to patients on ARVs and on therapy ad follow-up of patients with missed clinic appointments and make home visits to ensure adherence to therapy, and provide access to VCT in the community. They are supposed to report to the Site Coordinator. Applicants should be holders in Diploma in Counselling and straining in HIV/AIDS counselling. They should have five years experience in a similar and have knowledge in STI/HIV/AIDS issues. The successful candidates should be expected to provide VCT counselling, promote and demonstrate condom use, provide adherence counselling to patients initiating ARVs, Anti-TB and on therapy. They should also work closely with the nurses and pharmacy staff to ensure completion of prescribed doses. Also they should follow-up the patients with psychosocial needs, missed clinic appointments and make home visits to ensure adherence to therapy and provide access to VCT in work places. SOCIAL WORKERS, MARPs PROJECT, CENTRE FOR HIV PREVENTION AND RESEARCH (CHIVPR) AD/10/146/10 (CHS) (4 POSTS) (CENTRAL AND EASTERN PROVINCES) Applicants should be holders of Diploma in Social Work. They should shave a minimum of five (5) years experience in similar position and have knowledge in community engagement and HIV/AIDS issues. The successful candidates are expected to create good will, enlarge existing networks and gain social capital from the target populations. They will be expected to keep all stakeholders a breast with progress, success and challenges of the program in addition to normalizing HIV testing and services among the target population and community at large. They will also be expected to work closely with the Community engagement and Mapping Coordinator and clinical team in reducing stigma, promoting acceptance of the MARPs as members of the general community. They will also be expected to

assist MARPs host spots mapping and enumeration in each of the sites. They will be reporting to the Community Engagement and Mapping Coordinator. COMMUNITY MOBILIZERS, MARPs PROJECT, CENTRE FOR HIV PREVENTION AND RESEARCH (CHIVPR) AD/10/147/10 (CHS) (8 POSTS) (CENTRAL AND EASTERN PROVINCES) Applicants should be holders of Diploma in Community Development or Social Work. They should have a minimum of five years (5) years experience in similar position and extensive networks and goodwill from target populations. The successful candidates will be expected to be responsible for community mobilization, demand creation for services, referrals to the clinic sites and identification of all the important stakeholders in each region. They should be expected to create good will, enlarge the existing networks and gain social capital from the target populations. They will work closely with the Community Engagement and Mapping Coordinator and clinical team in reducing stigma, promoting acceptance of the MARPs as members of the general community. They will also be expected to assist MARPs hot spots mapping and enumeration in each of the sites. They will be reporting to the Community Engagement and Mapping Coordinator. ADMINSTATIVE/ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT, MARPs PROJECT, CENTRE FOR HIV PREVENTION AND RESEARCH (CHIVPR) AD/10/148/10 (CHS) (4 POSTS) (CENTRAL AND EASTERN PROVINCES) Applicants should be holders of Diploma in Business Administration, CPA Part I and be computer proficiency. They should have at least three (3) years experience in similar position. The successful candidates should be expected to be responsible for all site administrative and financial matters, disbursement of petty cash for program activities. They will be expected to account for the field advances and report to Nairobi Central Office. They will also be expected to keep records of assets and supplies and work closely with the site Coordinator, Budget/Financial and project Administrators. PHARMACEUTICALS TECHNOLOGIST, OPH PROJECT DEPARTMENT OF PAEDIATRICS AND CHILD HEALTH - AD/10/149/10 (CHS) (1 POST) Applicants should be holders of a Diploma in Pharmacy from KMTC. They should have a minimum of one (1) year work experience with at least six (6) months experience in a Pharmacy that dispenses antiretroviral drugs. Completion of human subjects training and GCP training and computer literacy are required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for day to day dispensing of antiretroviral therapy to patients in a clinical trial. TECHNOLOGIST GRADE ABC (WOOD SECTION) SCIENCE WORKSHOP AD/10/150/10 (CBPS) (1 POST) Applicants should be holders of KCSE mean Grade C with credits in relevant subjects. In addition, they should be holders of Diploma in Building Construction or certificates in Carpentry and Joinery from a recognized institution. They should be conversant with machines commonly used in wood workshop and the maintenance of tools. Experience in CAD will be an added advantage. They should be computer literate. SECRETARY, KEFA PROJECT, CENTRE FOR HIV PREVENTION AND RESEARCH (CHIVPR) AD/10/151/10 (CHS) (1 POST) (NAIROBI OFFICE) Applicants should be holders of Diploma in Secretarial duties or equivalent and should be computer proficiency. They should have at least five (5) years experience in similar position. The successful candidate will be expected to book and schedule meetings and workshops for the Project PI and other staff. She should also be expected to maintain an up-to-date filing system and respond to mail on behalf of the PI and other senior staff. They will be responsible for taking notes during workshops and typing workshops reports and also typing office reports and letters. PROJECT ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT, PACE PROJECT, DEPARTMENT OF CLINICAL MEDICINE AND THERAPEUTICS -AD/10/153/10 (1 POST) (CHS) Applicants should be holders of at least CPA Part II with at least three (3) years accounting experience in a medium sized organization. He/she must be computer literate and demonstrate proficiency in computerized accounting. He/she should have at least two (2) years experience in accounting, including budgeting, budget tracking and audit preparation.
