Global Citizenship and Sustainability

In ten years of time, we will make sure that majority of our citizens obtain the knowledge

needed to encourage long-term development, through education for development and effective

lifestyles, equality rights, human rights, global citizenship, and appreciation of cultural diversity. The

Greenwood City shall promote the city’s core values protection of democracy, enforcement of human

rights and the importance of rule of law. Also, the city shall ensure the prevention of human rights

violations because this plays a key role in reaffirming long-term development and effective lifestyles.

Following this context, we can see that education can be leveraged as a defense against the rise of

brutality, racism, terrorism, and discrimination. In order for our city to be sustainable, we should invest

in infrastructures that will stand against the test of time. We should construct different buildings to

cater the city’s critical and distinct sectors. For the primary sector, the city shall focus on importing

raw materials for basic needs; thus, a long and wide range of accessible road networks shall be

structured in place for delivery and transport of goods to safely take place. For the secondary sector,

an industrial zone shall be constructed and strategically located away from residential and

commercial zones; the industrial zone shall consist of manufacturing plants that will cater processing

of imported raw materials to produce the citizen’s essential needs. For the tertiary sector, a central

business district shall be constructed at the very heart of the city. A modern marketplace shall be

designed and constructed where the commerce of goods and services shall take place. A

Greenwood city skyline shall be established to represent and embody the city’s thriving commercial

and financial sectors.
