CHAPTER V

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSION AND

RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter provides an overview of the research that had been

completed, along with the conclusions, recommendations, and results

obtained.

An in-depth comprehension of the dynamics surrounding learning

environments is made possible by the insightful analysis of students'

perspectives, views, and opinions about school uniform policies implemented

by the Pantalan Senior High School.

Summary

This research aims to identify the factors affecting the variation of

perceptions of students to school uniform policies. Specifically, this research

aims to answer the following questions:

1. What is the perception of Grade 12 HUMSS students regarding the

wearing of school uniform?

2. What are the causes of variation in respondents’ choices regarding

uniform regulations?

3. What are the views of the respondents about the wearing of school

uniforms in terms of gender identity?


This study aims to determine the perceptions and awareness of the

students in Pantalan Senior High School, specifically the Grade 12 students

under Humanities and Social Sciences Strand regarding the implementation

of school uniform policies inside the campus premises.

Findings

The findings of the research and the information acquired were as

follows:

1) The school uniform policy at Pantalan Senior High School has been

widely praised for its impact on students' mental and emotional well-being,

increasing confidence despite differences in appearance. The students

suggest that uniforms should be implemented in all institutions, indicating the

benefits and efficacy of uniform regulations on school grounds.

2) The study reveals that diverse respondents' opinions on why

students wear different school uniforms vary. Financial stability, life situations,

and personal values influence students' choices. School uniforms enhance

appearance but limit self-expression. Personal values, such as religion and

ethnicity, also influence students' decisions.

3) The survey results show that LGBTQ+ students are recommending

gender-neutral uniforms as mandatory clothing for institutions, allowing them

to express themselves freely and lift their morale, potentially benefiting the

LGBTQ+ community.
Conclusions

The study's findings led to the following conclusions being drawn:

1) The well-being of students can be greatly impacted by the

implementation of school uniform policies in institutions as the students are

aware of the benefits and advantages of following dress codes.

2) The reasons of the students that resulted in a variety of choices on

what to wear differed from several circumstances, such as life capabilities and

personal beliefs, whether political, cultural, or moral.

3) The emerging inclusivity among LGBTQ+ members in the aspect of

freedom of expression through styles and clothes is encouraged efficiently

among institutions in the present time.

Recommendations

In light of the findings and suggestions of the study, the following

recommendations are hereby made:

1) The policy encompassing school uniforms should be thoroughly

applied, and learners ought to comprehend in order to educate

students about the significant set of regulations.


2) The institution should take the initiative to assist students who are

unable to acquire a proper school uniform due to personal and

unavoidable circumstances, donation campaigns can assist students in

this respect.

3) LGBTQ+ could advocate campaigns inside school premises to promote

more the idea of inclusivity in relate to freedom of expression in terms

of fashion and styles.
