NOTIFICATION

Subject : : Creation o1529 new posts of Sub-Inspector of Police (Un-armed Branch) for
127 Police Stations having jurisdiction of Municipality / Municipal
Corporations, 35 Cyber Crime Police Stations and 40 High Loaded
Police Stations under West Bengal Police.

A proposal for creation 1058 posts of Sub-Inspector (Un-armed Branch) in respect of

workload Police Stations
127 Pohce Stations and 35 Cyber Crime Police Stations and 40 high
under West Bengal Police has been received from the West Bengal Police Directorate vide
Memo. No. 615-019/019-46/2023, dated 12.09.2023. The proposal was under active
consideration of this Department for some time past.

2. After careful consideration of the matter, the Governor is pleased to accord

approval to the creation of 529 (Five hundred and twenty nine) posts of Sub-Inspector (Un-
armed Branch) under West Bengal Police in the following manner:-
(i) 353 nos. of Sub-Inspector of Police for 127 nos. Police Stations having
jurisdiction of Municipal;rty / Municipal Corporations.
(i0 L25 nos. of Sub-Inspector of Police for 35 nos. Cyber Crime Police Stations.
(iii) 51 nos. of Sub-Inspector of Police for 40 High Work loaded Police Stations.

3. The aforesaid 529 (five hundred twenty nine) posts sanctioned herein above
will be filled up in observance of extant recruitment rules and norms as noti{ied by the
Government from time to time.

4. The charge is debitable to the appropriate Head of Account in the State Police
Budget.

5. This issues with the concurrence of Finance Department Vide their U.O. No.
Group P2/2023-2024/1,012 dated 24.01..2024 and with the approval of the Cabinet vide
Cabinet Sectt. U/O No. CAB(D)-923, dated 08.02.2024.

6. The Accountant General (A & E), West Bengal is being informed
