Dear Delegates,

On behalf of the International Diplomatic Council (IDC), it is our honour to invite you to our
first annual MUN Conference, IDCMUN 1.0.
IDCMUN 1.0 will be held in the online mode (Zoom) on the 19th and 20th of August 2023.

The International Diplomatic Council (IDC) is a physical manifestation of the combined

visions of our founders to foster healthy debate, mould young minds to become self-aware
and hold debates worth deliberating for!

We here at IDC are not just an MUN Organisation, we are a culmination of people from all
walks of life come together for a common purpose- self-betterment. Join us in our journey
today as we strive to explore the potential you and I both hold hidden inside.

 ABOUT IDCMUN

Model United Nations (MUN) is a simulation of the United

Nations where students role-play as delegates to the UN and
simulate UN committees and other bodies. Participants
research, discuss, and debate global issues, develop skills in
diplomacy, negotiation, public speaking and critical thinking.

The International Diplomatic Council (IDC) is a physical

The International Diplomatic Council is pleased to present its

1st edition, which will be held on August 19th and 20th, 2023
on the Zoom platform (Online mode). This two-day event will
feature participants from across the globe, representing some
of the most powerful countries in the world, as they clash
over foreign policies and strategic interests. Participants will
strive to prove their points and achieve victory in a battle of
intellects. The stage is set, and the battle is about to begin!

UNITED NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL

Agenda: Deliberation upon the violations of International

Agreements and Treaties

UNSC is the primary body in UN, responsible for maintaining

international peace and security. Consisting of 15 Members,
each Member holds one vote. As outlined in the Charter of the
United Nations, all Member States are obligated to comply
with Council decisions. The Security Council assumes a
leading role in determining the existence of a threat to peace
or act of aggression. It urges the parties involved in a dispute
to resolve it peacefully and suggests methods or terms of
settlement. In certain situations, the Security Council can
implement sanctions or even authorize the use of force to
preserve or restore international peace and security.

Agenda: Addressing the rising threat of Yellow Journalism
in Political Campaigns.

As per the provision of Article 79 of the Indian Constitution,

the House of the People, the Lok Sabha is the Lower House
of The Parliament. Lok Sabha is composed of
representatives of the people chosen by direct election on
the basis of the adult suffrage. The maximum strength of
the House envisaged by the Constitution is 552.

It serves as a key platform for discussing and passing laws,

as well as ensuring the government's transparency and
responsiveness to the public. As of now, Bharatiya Janata
Party (BJP) has the majority in the Lok Sabha, with 301
seats.

HUMAN RIGHTS COUNCIL

Agenda: Deliberation upon the growing Religious Extremism

in Europe and its Subsequent Human Rights Violations.

The United Nations Human Rights Council is an inter-

governmental body within the United Nations system, made
up of 47 States responsible for the promotion and protection
of human rights across the globe. It has the ability to discuss
all thematic human rights issues and situations that require its
attention throughout the year. Lately the Human Rights
Council has been very active addressing situations like the
Refugee Crisis in Eastern Europe, or the Uyghur Muslims crisis
in China, Asia, etc..

Agenda: The International Press in IDCMUN 1.0 will only

have Journalists and Memers

IP is a separate committee with different ROPs where a

group of Journalists would capture the very essence of the
conference with their writing skills. These journalists are an
essential part of the conference as they document the
activities, providing written representation and coverage of
the conference through their pens and articles, offering
personal critiques too.
Memes are an integral part of the cyber world and to add a
bit of a humor to this intense and enriching conference of
ours, we call upon all the memers to register and showcase
their talent! (and make us laugh)

Agenda: Continuous Crisis Committee

A Continuous Crisis Committee is where the participants

are given a crisis a day before or the morning of the
conference and the participants are required to use their
wit, diplomacy skills and their knowledge of their portfolio
to resolve that crisis as early as possible. But that's not all, a
CCC is a committee where the crisis doesn't stop.
Marvel as all are aware has one of the biggest fan bases in
the entire world.
IDCMUN 1.0 has featured this special committee to give our
participants a different experience altogether!
