1. ) What is Media Literacy/ Digital Literacy? What are It's Importance?

Media literacy refers to the ability to access, analyze, evaluate, and create media
content in various forms, such as print, television, radio, film, and digital media. It
involves critical thinking and a set of skills that enable individuals to navigate and make
sense of the vast amount of information and messages presented through media.
Media literacy involves critical thinking, understanding media techniques, media
consumption skills, and responsible creation and expression of media content. It
encourages critical questioning, understanding of source, credibility, biases, and intent,
distinguishing fact from opinion, and identifying bias in media content.

Digital literacy, on the other hand, encompasses the skills and knowledge required to
navigate and engage with digital technologies and online environments.
Basic digital skills involve understanding computer usage, internet proficiency,
cybersecurity, data literacy, and digital communication. These skills include browsing the
internet, recognizing online threats, understanding data collection and usage, and using
email and social media effectively.

Importance of Media Literacy and Digital Literacy

Media and digital literacy are essential skills for individuals to navigate the complex
world of information and technology. They help individuals become critical thinkers,
empower them to engage with media and technology confidently, promote online safety,
and engage in civic life. These skills are crucial for career advancement in fields like
communication, marketing, and journalism. Additionally, they emphasize responsible and
ethical use of technology, reducing cyberbullying and privacy violations.

2. ) What are the Advantages and disadvantages of media?

Media, in its various forms, has a significant impact on society, providing numerous
advantages as well as some disadvantages. It's important to note that these effects can
