Wellbeing is guided by the Strategy on Education for Health and Wellbeing (EHW), as well as, Priority Gender Equality Action Plan. In Tanzania, UNESCO works with a broad range of partners to support government and community efforts and initiatives to ensure that all children and young people benefit from good quality and culturally appropriate comprehensive sexuality education that includes HIV education. The programme also works to ensure that all children and young people have access to safe, inclusive, health-promoting learning environments.
UNESCO’s interventions around EHW is in line with
the Education Sector Development Plans; the National Multi-sectoral Strategic Framework for HIV and AIDS (NMSF IV 2018-2023), the National Plan of Action to End Violence against Women and Children (2017-2022), and the National Accelerated Action and Investment Agenda for Adolescent Health and Wellbeing (NAIA-AHW). Developing attitudes values and
skills required for required for peaceful tolerant and inclusive Preventing EUP and new HIV societies; Providing safe and infection, promoting uptake of supportive learning testing and treatment, health environments, free from violence lives, through good quality SE and and discrimination, and instil links to SRH service; Referral for respect for rights, diversity and health and Counselling services equality, as a model for later life.
