Hiring Manager's

THE FACE SHOP

Mumbai

Dear Hiring Manager,

Subject: Application for Web Development Internship at THE FACE SHOP.

I am writing to express my enthusiastic interest in the Software Development Internship position at

The Face Shop , as advertised on LinkedIN in December 2023.

Currently a third-year student at Mukesh Patel School of Technology, Management, and Engineering,
I am pursuing a B.Tech in Computer Science and Business Systems. Graduating from Symbiosis with a
remarkable 82% in the HSC grade 12 examination, I have consistently demonstrated a commitment
to academic excellence.

Throughout my academic journey, I have honed my programming skills by successfully completing

projects that required problem-solving and critical thinking. With a CGPA of 3.2, I have proven my
ability to excel in my studies.

Here are brief descriptions of some projects I have completed, highlighting the languages and
platforms utilized for their implementation:

1) Subsidy optimizer – Database Management systems

The subsidy optimizer staying true to it’s name is a collection of all the subsidies that the
central government offers in various sectors like- agricultural, industrial, educational etc.
It is envisioned to give people from lower economic strata benefits that usually are lost in
oblivion.
Languages used (frontend)- HTML, CSS, JavaScript; (backend)-SQL, MongoDB.

2) Credit card validater – Data structures and Algorithms

The credit card validator was build in the general purpose language of C++ using concepts of
DSA. We created our own Luhn algorithm that validates the digits on the card.

3) Weather forecasting - Data exploration

This project intensified on the techniques of Machine learning and statistical Data
exploration which used various Python libraries and concepts of Python.
4) Research paper on -Video to text summarization tools using ASR techniques.
Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) techniques are commonly used in video to text
summarization tools to transcribe spoken content in videos into text format. These tools
leverage ASR technology to convert audio signals from the video into textual
representations, which can then be further processed to generate summaries. Here are a few
tools that utilize ASR techniques for video to text summarization

I am excited about the opportunity to contribute my skills and knowledge to the innovative team at
The Face Shop. I am confident that my academic background and practical experience will enable me
to make valuable contributions to your organization.

Warm regards,

Meenakshi SB
