Self-care means managing stress proactively. Sleep, exercise, eating-well, and
positive social relationships are all part of self-care too. But, your own emotion
regulation -- your own ability to notice stress and breathe through it, is key to filling
your own cup. We cannot pour from an empty cup and we cannot teach our children
emotion-regulation if we do not practice it ourselves.
