BIOGRAPHY OF VIKTORIA MODESTA

Born in Daugavpils, Latvia on February 25, 1988, as Viktorija Moskaļova, Viktoria

Modesta is a model, singer, composer, performer, and mix of Latvian and English. Her
narrative serves as an inspiration to innumerable people across the globe as a monument to
resiliency and empowerment.

ability at a young age, beginning
to learn to sing at a Daugavpils
music school when she was six
years old. But because of medical
incompetence from birth, she had
physical difficulties throughout
her life that left her with a
handicap in her left leg.
When Viktoria was twelve years
old, her family left her hometown
of Daugavpils to go to the UK in
pursuit of better prospects. She
underwent multiple ineffective
medical treatments to treat her
dislocated hip and leg, but her
health problems persisted. Rather
of discouraging her, these tangible
challenges bolstered her resolve
and fortitude.

When Viktoria was twenty years

old, she took the brave and life-
changing decision to voluntarily
have her leg amputated below the
knee. She referred to this surgery
as a "literal break" from the things
that were preventing her from
moving forward, signaling a new chapter in her life. Rather of letting her disability define

her, Viktoria saw this action as an opportunity to remake her life and body, which gave her
a sense of empowerment and release.

own flaws. Since she was able to overcome hurdles and exude confidence, Viktoria became
