TYLER THE CREATOR

Tyler the creator is a public figure, he’s mostly known as a rapper but he’s an
amazing entrepreneur too. He writes his own songs and he’s often criticized for
being “controversial” but he has also been considered a lyrical genius since the Early
2010’s.

Tyler Gregory Okonma was born in 1991 in California, most specifically in Ladera
Heights. Since a young age he had always been the class clown, even though he
always felt like a marginalized and lonely kid. In 2006, when he was only 15, he
opened a youtube channel where we used to post freestyles and comedy sketches.
From 2007 to 2011 he was just an underground rapper, but in 2011 he got noticed by
famous rappers like Jay-k and he signed a contract with Sony, after that he released
the album Goblin, and it was a complete success.

In 2011 Tyler didn’t only have music success, he launched his own clothing brand,
Golf Wang, and it had a favorable outcome. The style of his brand’s clothing is
basically streetwear, you can usually see Tyler wearing those clothes in his video
clips and sketches.

Right now, Tyler’s music is still really popular, his main listeners are teenagers,
especially americans. After Golf Wang’s big success he created a sub-brand called
Lefleur, this new sub-brand compared to Golf Wang has more of a mature kind of
style, it focuses more on pastel colors and beiges, instead golf wang has always had
vibrant colors and funny patterns.

In conclusion, Tyler is a very talented person that has a lot of skills, he’s a funny and
creative person that had success in music, comedy and fashion. He does
collaborations with important brands like Lacoste every year, and has just released a
collaboration with Converse.Even though he started being popular in the 2010’s he’s
still really admired by today’s teenagers.
