• What is its purpose? Who is it for? What is it about?

The purpose of the poster is to promote awareness about pollution. It is for the public, especially
social media users. The poster is about how pollution is a silent killer that could damage the well
being of our earth. It also shows the factors and effects of pollution that is happening to our
environment.

• What do you think about it?

I feel uneasy when I see the sustainability and condition of our earth is getting worse. I think we
should try our best to combat pollution and control the effects and causes.

• Why? How does it make you feel? Why?

The fact that the Earth is being ignored by humanity despite the fact that it provides a wealth of
resources and is only seen as a primary choice obviously upsets me.

• What puzzles you?

How people are still in the dark about what is going on around us, especially with regard to the
entire world, and why they are not acting in response to the knowledge being conveyed on the
poster beyond us.

• What does it remind you of?

It makes me think of the various environmental problems that scientists have raised, particularly
those involving pollution from industrial sites and oil and gas leaks.

• What connections can you make to other texts and experiences?

I can draw a number of links to other literature and experiences. For instance, this blog site
effectively demonstrated how factories harm the Earth by listing pollution from factories as the
primary source of environmental obstacles.

• How do you think this text positioning the viewer/reader?

In my opinion, this text is positioning the readers as humans who are involved with the cause of
earth pollution. For example, humans here meaning is that all the types of people- a normal
citizen, politicians, and the government. All of these types of people need to create awareness
among themselves to learn the negatives of their own doings that can lead to severe pollution.

• What might be missing from this image?

From the image, I might say that it is good for the creator to add the people that have the high
possibility to be the cause of the pollution, not just the situation. As a result, there are more
people who will be affected when they read the poster and have a self-actualization

• Why has the image-maker chosen to show this image this way? How else might this be
shown? What difference might this make?

From my point of view, the maker of this poster chose to show readers exactly what will happen
to the earth. In addition, there are so many things that keep the earth polluted, due to the
selfishness of certain people. Furthermore, the pollution also can be shown through a movie
regarding the pollution. The difference this way can make is the effect it will have to the viewers.
Some people just do not want to even read and the poster might not be able to display to a lot of
people so recognition of the poster also lessens. Therefore, a movie can reach many people.
Explicit images and scenes from the story made can be a great example to viewers. Hence, an
effective awareness can be created.
