Reading helps you develop positive thinking. Reading is

important because it develops your mind and gives you
RATIONALE excessive knowledge and lessons of life. It helps you
understand the world around you better. It keeps your
mind active and enhances your creative ability. Books
play a quintessential role in every student’s life by
introducing them to a world of imagination, providing
knowledge of the outside world, improving their
reading, writing and speaking skills as well as boosting
memory and intelligence.

In addition, the School Library also serves as classroom

in specialized subjects.

RECIPIENT Obando Senior High School Students

1. Establish a conducive area for learning/ reading.

2. Promote among learners the importance of reading as
OBJECTIVES a good habit in school.
3. Develop among learners’ proper maintenance and use
of school facility.

NEEDS ASSESSMENT Repair of School Reading Hub

Based on the observation of Language Club Advisers
together with its members, the School Reading Hub
needs to have an engaging facility so that the place will
be conducive for reading and learning as well.

PROJECT TITLE Preparation for EDDIS Press Conference 2024

RATIONALE The RSPC aims to demonstrate an understanding of the

importance of Journalism by expressing it through
different journalistic endeavors and approaches; sustain
advocacy on social consciousness and environmental
awareness; provide a venue for an enriching learning
experience for students interested in Journalism as a
career or those who intend to use skill sets learned
through campus journalism to give them a better edge in
their chosen careers; promote responsible journalism
and fair and ethical use of social media; and enhance
journalistic competence through healthy and friendly
competitions.

RECIPIENT Obando Senior High School Students

1. Apply communication skills of students in the

different categories of campus journalism;
OBJECTIVES 2. Promote intellectual inquisitiveness and development
of learners through worthwhile division competition;
and
3. enhance school paper adviser skills in mentoring,
coaching and campus journalists on school paper
management.

NEEDS ASSESSMENT Based on the observation of Language Teachers, the

School Press Conference needs to have an intensive
training so that the students will be ready for the EDDIS
Press Conference.
