I.Objectives
 To introduce the concept of honesty and truthfulness.

 To understand the importance of being honest in our

daily lives.

II.Subject Matter
A.Topic: Understanding Honesty

B.References: GMRC Curriculum Guide for Grade 3

C.Materials: Whiteboard, markers, honesty-related scenarios

III.Procedure
A.Reflective Thinking Activities (15 minutes)
1.Start the lesson by discussing the meaning of honesty and
truthfulness.

2.Ask students to reflect on a time when they were honest

or when someone was honest with them.

3.Have students share their reflections with a partner or in

small groups.

B.Structured Values Activities (15 minutes)

1.Present scenarios related to honesty on the whiteboard or
through cards.

2. Engage students in a discussion about the consequences

of being honest and the harm of being dishonest.

3.Discuss the value of honesty in building trust and

maintaining healthy relationships.

C.Group Sharing and Reflection (10 minutes)

1. Bring the class back together and ask a few students to
share their thoughts on the scenarios and the importance of
honesty.

2. Facilitate a brief discussion on the challenges of being

honest in difficult situations and how it contributes to
personal integrity.

3. 3.Encourage students to share personal stories related to

honesty.

IV.Feedback and Reinforcement (10 minutes)

1.Summarize the key points of the lesson, emphasizing the
significance of honesty and truthfulness.

2.Ask students to commit to one action they will take to be

honest in the coming week.

3. Assign a reflection journal as homework where students

can record their experiences related to honesty.
