Project Title: Comprehensive Care on the Go: Equipped First Aid Kit in BSABE

Department
I.Introduction

In response to the ever-growing importance of well-being within our academic

community, the "Comprehensive Care on the Go" project is initiated to provide immediate
health assistance through the establishment of an equipped first aid kit in the BSABE
(Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering) department. This
initiative is crucial due to the geographical distance of the clinic from the department,
creating a need for immediate, on-site medical support. With the clinic situated far away, a
readily available first aid kit becomes a vital resource, ensuring prompt response to health
emergencies and promoting overall well-being within the academic community. In
conjunction with this, a symposium on health promotion will be organized to empower
individuals with knowledge and skills that promote a proactive approach to personal health.

II. Objectives

1. Enhance Emergency Preparedness: Implement a well-stocked and accessible first aid kit
within the BSABE department to ensure swift and effective responses to health emergencies.

2. Promote Health Literacy: Conduct a symposium addressing various aspects of health

promotion, including disease prevention, mental well-being, and healthy lifestyle choices,
aiming to enhance health literacy among the BSABE community.

3. Foster a Culture of Well-being: Cultivate a sense of community responsibility for health

and well-being within the BSABE department, encouraging individuals to take an active role
in maintaining their health.

III. Project Activities

Health Promotion:

1. Symposium on Health Promotion: Hosting a symposium covering topics such as disease

prevention, mental health, nutrition, and stress management.
2. Health Awareness Campaigns: Developing and distributing informational materials
promoting health awareness, focusing on preventive measures, and highlighting available
resources within the BSABE department.
3. Collaborative Health Initiatives: Encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration on health-
related projects or initiatives, fostering a sense of collective responsibility for community
well-being.
IV. Expected Outcomes

a.) Improved emergency response capabilities within the BSABE Department.

b.) Increased knowledge and awareness of health promotion and wellness practices.
c.) Enhanced sense of community responsibility for health and well-being.

VIII. Integration with NSTPS Objectives

The National Service Training Program (NSTP) objectives can be integrated into the
"Comprehensive Care on the Go" project in several ways, fostering a sense of service,
leadership, and social responsibility among students. Here are some potential integrations:

 Leadership: Assigning leadership roles to students within the project team, allowing them to
develop their decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills. These skills are crucial
for both NSTP objectives and future endeavors.
 Civic Welfare: The project directly addresses the NSTP objective of promoting civic welfare
by equipping the department with a first aid kit, enhancing preparedness and potentially
aiding the wider community in case of emergencies.

IX. Conclusion:

In conclusion, the "Comprehensive Care on the Go" project not only addresses the
immediate need for accessible health resources but also strives to create a sustainable and
community-driven approach to health and wellness within the BSABE Department. Through
ongoing monitoring, collaboration, and an emphasis on community responsibility, the project
aims to leave a lasting positive impact on the well-being of BSABE students and staff.
