Abstract
Mobile devices are getting increasingly popular and have been widely used in recent years. Many mobile device appli-
cations are used in iPads, iPhones, and Android-based phones and devices. Currently, Google Play has more than 300,000
applications, and had more than 10 billion application downloads in December 2010. Meanwhile, game development is
expanding fast, whether it is single player games or online games. Therefore, how to combine the learning content with
games will be a great help for learning anytime and anywhere.
The purpose of the research is the development of an application program interactive game-based learning system for
mobile systems. The system was evaluated by the product performance program evaluation. The results reveal the
advantages of the system having a simple appearance for users to understand its contents, and for it to have appropriate
instructions as well as explanations with pictures.

2.5. Android
Android is a Linux-based operating system for mobile
devices such as tablet computers and smart phones
(Chen et al., 2011). It was developed by the Open
Handset Alliance, led by Google, and other companies.
Google releases the Android code as open-source, under
the Apache License. The Android Open Source Project
(AOSP) is tasked with the maintenance and further
development of Android. In August 2011, the Android
operating system reached 48% of the market share in the
global smart phone operating system and has become
the world’s largest smart phone operating system.
Android applications are written by Java and have a
large amount of developers to extend the functionality
of the devices (Weng et al., 2012). Apps can be down-
loaded from third-party sites or through online stores
