exploration phase
Giving explanations that are more comprehensive and
are aligned to the lesson’s objective. It describe the end
result and encourage learners to ask questions on
matters that they do not understand.
demonstration phase
Showing the needed steps with accuracy to help
students develop skills. Demonstration must be done
with adequate explanation to help them master the
skills.
student performance phase
Return demonstration of the learners is
required to practice the skills demonstrated
by the teacher. This done with the assistance
of the teacher.
INSTRUCTION
(supervision phase)
Provision for enough time to do the practice is required.
So that mastery of the skills and efficiency could be
developed among learners.
Evaluation phase
Allow classmates to give comments on how well the
skill has been performed relative to the way it was
demonstrated. In this manner, the teacher
determines the effectiveness of the instruction.
ADDIE Modelis a systematic instructional design
framework used to develop effective education
programs and training materials.
ANALYSIS
In this phase, the education problem is
clarified, the educational objectives and
goals are established and the current
knowledge and skills of the learning
environment and the learner are identified
DESIGN
It deals with learning goals, methods for
evaluation, tests, materials, review of subject
matter, preparation of lessons and selection of
media. The step of design should be systematic
and particular.
DEVELOPMENT

The development stage is where the

developers produce and assemble the
assets of content generated in the design
process
IMPLEMENTATION

The implementation stage focuses on the

delivery of the training and project
management. This includes communicating
with learners, logistics, data collection, and
training trainers for global roll-outs of the
learning program.
EVALUATION

Evaluation phase is used to

assess the quality and
effectiveness of the instructional
design process.
TIPS IN TEACHING ICT
*Always start your sessions by stating the
objectives.
*Use your syllables as the basis for planning
your ICT lessons.
*Plan to use the computers as an integral part of the
classwork, and not added activity that bears no
relation to the rest of the curriculum.
*Use computers in a meaningful way to
enhance the subject and not distract from it.
*Devise activities that require pupils to share a
computer, because computers are excellent for
encouraging collaborative learning and also for higher
order skills, such as modeling.
*Reinforce your teaching through wall display of the
term used.
*Plan your lessons so that the computer-
based and the non-computer-based work are
similar in terms of intended learning
outcomes.
*Adopt the model of showing the pupils as a class how
to do something on the computer, and then getting
them to practice it in that lesson and to repeat that
practice in subsequent lessons.
*End your lesson with the summary of what was learn.
things we should avoid in
teaching ict
*Start an ICT lesson without ensuring that
you are familiar with the equipment and,
crucially, that it works at that moment.
*Start an ICT lesson without enduring that you have
some non-computer work handy in case something
goes wrong with the computers or power.
*Focus on dealing with the software at the
expense of the real learning task.
*Leave it to the last minute to begin the
end of the lesson, especially if the pupils
have to print out their work.
*Allow pupils to sit facing the computer screen when
you want them to listen to your instructions.
*Leave it until the end of the lesson to give out the
homework.
*Give out homework that can be done only on a
computer.
1.Transform class engagement into
activities for speaking.

Offer students a chance to practice public

speaking, instead of regular class discussions.
By incorporating Ignite Talks or pop-up
debates, educators may make this move.
2. Introduce project-based learning (PBL)

Teachers should launch a PBL

curriculum that helps learners to
recognize real-world issues and
develop solutions to those problems.
3. Integrate high-quality, nonfiction texts
into the curriculum.

Teachers will engage students with the

questions they are about by bringing
important, contemporary content to the
classroom. A cause that matters to them can
be investigated by students.
4. Work with authentic tools and platform

Students will practice the same strategies that

modern entrepreneurs use to share their work
with the world by using the same instruments in
a lesson or project. Of course, when using these
methods, remember the distract policies and
consider student age.
