OBJECTIVES:
1. Determine how many kinds of microscopic animals in CvSU Naic fishpond
2. Compare the number of kinds of microscopic animals and microscopic plants

MATERIALS:
collected specimens pipette glass slides
light microscope vials Sedgewick rafter
cellphone with camera spray bottle tissue
bond paper pencil/pen ruler
facemask laboratory gloves

PROCEDURES:
1. Bring all the necessary materials on the laboratory tables.
2. Using a pipette get the microscopic organisms inside the test tube of your assigned
station. Place them on the Sedgewick rafter.
3. Place the Sedgewick rafter on the stage of light microscope.
4. Peep the specimen on the eyepiece at 4X.
5. Switch to low power objective (10x).
6. Take a video of the all the microscopic organisms seen on the microscope.
7. Send the video at my email address (lclacson@cvsu-naic.edu.ph)
8. Draw the different organisms on the report sheets.

1. How many kinds of microscopic animals and microscopic plants have you seen in your
assigned station? (1 point)
2. What microscopic animals has the highest number. Draw it here and write its count?
(2points)
3. Which of the microorganism has the least count? Draw it here and write the counts. (2
points)
4. Give two roles of microscopic animals in the aquatic ecosystem. (2 points)
