A few hours before Christmas eve. Establish Christmastime.

Christmas songs play in the background.

MJ is shooting a video for TikTalk, her phone is running

slowly. She gets upset.

MJ

So… what’s on my mind?

Fun, danceable music in the background. MJ points up to her

left and right to show what is on her mind.

Mom

MJ! Dinner in ten minutes! Halika na!

She then loses focus and stops recording.

MJ

Ma, nagshu-shoot pa ako! I’ll be down after!

Mom

Anak, may video call pa tayo! Tsaka Paskong-pasko,

mag-celebrate naman tayo. Halika na!

MJ

After na!!!

Mom

(mas malambing)Anak, I cooked your favorite...

MJ

(to her mom) Favorite, what?! Can’t I get what I want!

(to herself) Di naman binili yung gusto kong phone. Why

celebrate Christmas if I'm not going to receive the gift that
I want?

TikTalk crashes. Then My.Christ Bible Devo App pops up. MJ
reads the devo question.

Devo Question:
If you were Mary, how would you receive God’s message through
the angel and His gift to you and to all mankind?

MJ sighs and types.

INTERCUT WITH:

3 INT. SEAN'S ROOM - SAME NIGHT

SEAN is on his laptop editing a YourTune video. He has many

followers (PEG: Ryan's ToyReview).

SEAN

Recording… So, guys, check out this awesome, new...

Sean's dad sends him a message and the app rings.

Dad (Message)
Merry Christmas, anak! We miss you… call later?

Sean ignores the message and swipes it.

SEAN

(sighs) Come on! Can’t you see it’s for my followers?

He posts an announcement or a countdown:

Going live Christmas eve to open my latest toy. CU later!!!

4 INT. FRANKIE’S ROOM - SAME NIGHT

FRANKIE is in his room playing and winning a video game. We

hear his family outside, they sound like a big, loud, but
happy family. Frankie is annoyed.

FRANKIE

Heeey! Quiet!!!

His cousin enters the room to remind him to join the family
games later.

COUSIN

Hurry! Game’s about to start.

No, thanks!

Frankie slams the door and returns to his game. FRANKIE’s game
hangs and crashes. My.Christ Bible Devo app appears. Devo
question pops up.

Devo Question

If you had the chance to give Jesus a gift as one of the Magi,
what would that gift be and why?

5 SPLIT SCREEN

MJ, SEAN, & FRANKIE answer the devo question. They all tap
SEND ANSWER at the same time. They get sucked into the game.

MJ rolls her eyes as she answers.

MJ (text)

SEAN just types and snickers.

SEAN

FRANKIE types quickly and goes back to his game.

6 INT. PALACE - NIGHT (DEVO GAME)

FRANKIE wakes up and finds himself inside the devo game. We

hear DEVO's voice. Devo tells Frankie what to do. Command
prompt appears. SEE THE KING. FOLLOW THE STAR. CHOOSE GIFTS
FIT FOR THE KING.

FRANKIE (Magi)

Where am I? Wait.. Why am I old? Wait Am I in the…?

DEVO

Welcome to the my.Christ virtual devo! As part of the Magi,

you are someone who gives good gifts fit for the King.

See the king. Follow the Star. Choose gifts fit for the King.

You have 10 minutes to fulfill the task. Pray. And choose

wisely.

SEAN is busy trying to get himself out of the game. He is now

a shepherd. Lots of sheep follow him around.

DEVO
You have used up all your experience points. See the King to

SEAN grumbles in frustration.

MJ has repeatedly attempted to leave the Devo app by tapping

X, but to no avail.

She just keeps on being sent back to that small room as a
teenage girl. MJ meets GABRIEL, a mighty angel.

Gabriel tells MJ about the gift.

GABRIEL
The Lord has blessed you in a special way.

MJ (Mary)
(grumbles and whines) I wanna go home… Will you bless me to
go home?

Wait… am I…

GABRIEL
He is with you.

MJ (Mary)

(says with bated breath) HOW?

you realize, it is not exactly what you asked for. Are you
going to receive it or not?

MJ (Mary)
I’m Mary!

GABRIEL
The Holy Spirit is with you. The power of God will cover you.

Lord! (whines)

(takes a deep breath) I accept. Lord, help me, to do what you

want.

GABRIEL

You are to visit your cousin, Elizabeth. People thought she

won’t have any more kids, but she will also be a mother soon.

MJ (Mary)

Devo, take me to Elizabeth.

DEVO

You have prayed and have chosen wisely to receive the King.

I’ll get this… uhm… gold… myrrh… and what is this? Like my
name. Frankincense.

Excellent choice. Gold, myrrh, and frankincense are gifts fit
for the King; the King who will give His life, for the
forgiveness of sins and the salvation of all.

FRANKIE (Magi)
Yes! I’m the man! Devo, send me home.

10 EXT. DESERT - NIGHT (DEVO GAME)

FRANKIE is transported to the desert, traveling alongside the

other Magi and their entourage.

He tries to take control and discovers he can try to reach for

all the other stars.

FRANKIE (Magi)

Wait, I can control you guys! Haha! Let’s hit that star over
there. And that star over there…

(upper left of frame, not the STAR he needs to follow)

 MAGI (animated from background)

We must go to the King. We will follow the Star that leads to

Him.

Every time FRANK tries to go towards a different star, the

MAGI would only repeat saying its lines.

FRANKIE (Magi)

Devo, tell Magi to obey.

DEVO

Time is almost up. There is only one STAR to follow.

One that leads to the KING. See the King to complete
devo. Follow the Star. Pray. And choose wisely.

FRANKIE grumbles.

FRANKIE (Magi)

No, no, no! I am in control here! I want to...

I WANT to… (pauses then sighs)

Go home. (sobs)

I miss my family. I’m sorry for not appreciating them. I just

want to be with them again…

We cut to the sound effect of a tap to a command.

SEAN is stuck in the fields. The shepherds and the sheep are
in the background. SEAN gets mad and keeps on pressing X.

SEAN (Shepherd)

(getting mad) FOLLOW ME!

Why can’t you just follow me?!

SHEPHERDS (animated background)

We must go to Bethlehem.

SEAN (Shepherd)

Why can’t… (pauses then sighs)

I can’t…

I can’t. (about to cry)

Lord… help me…

MJ is teleported in front of the house of ELIZABETH, Mary's

cousin.

MJ (Mary)

Devo, what’s next?

Devo Questions will also appear based on the encounter with

Angel Gabriel and as intro to meeting Elizabeth.

COMMAND PROMPT GRAPHICS:

MJ (Mary)
(reading it) How would you share the greatest gift of all to
someone you love?

(rolls eyes) I didn’t even get what I asked for. It’s not an
excuse that she has been working hard and all, and then when
it comes to your daughter you get… you get…

MJ hears herself and pauses. She hears herself demanding too

much from her mom and feels awful. She realizes how truly
loved and blessed she is.
Elizabeth is watching by the doorway.

ELIZABETH (animated background)

God has blessed you and the Child! I am blessed to have you
here with me.

Timer at the top center (think timer of Street Fighter or any
fighting game) continues to tick; last two minutes.
The command prompt stays till after MJ gives a heartfelt
answer.

MJ (Mary)
...I am blessed because God gave me a wonderful mom who
honors Him. (begins to sob) And with all that she has, she
loves, she cares, and she gives to me.

Lord, thank You! I give glory to You and choose to delight in

You too. Thank You, for giving me Yourself! Thank You, for
giving me my mom.

The command prompt changes.

Last 10 seconds.

We cut with the sound of a tapped button.

13 MANGER - NIGHT (DEVO GAME).

Crickets chirp and sheep bleat in a quiet town, with the

manger at the center. And on top, is a star more prominent
than the others in the sky.

A baby cries.

O Holy Night hums from the background.

MJ (Mary) reaches the manger. Baby Jesus is born.

 MJ (Mary)

Jesus. It is You. My Lord. Thank You for loving us! Help me to

show my mom, this time, I am learning from You, as Lord, and
source of my faith.

Frankie (Magi) and the other Magis arrive to offer their

gifts.

FRANKIE (Magi)

Jesus. You’re the King.

Frankie (Magi) offers the gifts of gold, myrrh, and

frankincense.

FRANKIE (Magi)

You’re the King, but You left Your throne. You gave us Your
time, Your life… Sorry, if I don’t spend enough time with my
family and show them how much I love them.

Sean (Shepherd) arrives, sheep bleating, behind him. When He

sees baby Jesus, his heart is transformed.

SEAN (Shepherd)

Lord, sorry… forgive me for not honoring my dad. Lord Jesus,

be my Savior. Save my relationship with my dad. Help me to
honor and love him.

O Holy Night continues to play. Cast sings with it.

CAST

Fall on your knees, Oh hear the angel voices!

We see the manger from afar. The scene is washed with a bright
light.

TRANSITION TO:

14 INT. MJ’S ROOM - NIGHT

We hear “Joy to The World” music in the background.

MJ wakes up. She's back in her room. Mom sits beside her bed.

Mom

Anak… Merry Christmas!

Mom gives her the gift.

MJ

Mom! Sorry, for the tantrums! I love you, and I love my new
phone!!!

Mom

Wow! I love you too! (smiling)

CUT TO:

15 INT. SEAN'S ROOM - NIGHT

Sean is also back. He sees the message his dad had sent him.

Sean returns his dad’s call. Messenger rings.

(takes a deep breath) Hello, pa? How are...

Sean’s dad goes on video.

DAD

Anak! Merry Christmas! Saglit, may isesend lang ako.

Dad sends Sean a message as j3j3_67 in his post earlier.

j3j3_67 (message)

I love you anak! I am proud of you.

Sean sees the message as it pops up in his post. Sean is

tear-eyed as he replies.

SEAN

I love you too, papa!!! <3

DAD (video call)

Anak, pinagpe-pray ka pa lang namin ng mama mo, masaya na kami

sa’yo. Proud na proud ako sa’yo maski noong ako palang
follower ng page mo.

Kaya, huwag kang malulungkot kung konti lang likes mo o wala

masyadong nagco-comment. Hindi ako mawawala tsaka hindi ako
titigil sa pag-suporta sa’yo.

Sean starts his live stream and uses it as a chance to share

the story of Jesus. No toys or gadgets or any material thing
can amount to the greatest gift that God has given us - Jesus
Christ.

SEAN

What’s up Seansters! Merry Christmas!

Just wanna remind you of how truly loved and appreciated you
are this season. And it’s never about the material gifts like
the toys or the gadgets, but the One True Gift, who was sent
to save us all - Jesus.

Let me tell you about my story in Him, but before that,

Frankie takes a deep breath as he is about to leave his room.

Frankie opens the door and shows himself to his family.

FRANKIE joins in the fun and plays charades with his family.
