God does to us and the relationship he creates with us and the destiny he appoints for us. God made us
who we are so we could make known who he is. Our identity is for the sake of making known his identity

What is identity?

Your identity is who you are. It’s how you view yourself and in some circles, it’s how the world may
view you.

Where do we get our identity from?

Identity formation and evolution are impacted by a variety of internal and

external factors like society, family, loved ones, ethnicity, race, culture,
location, opportunities, media, interests, appearance, self-expression and life
experiences.

What is identity in Christ ?

This is who you are in Christ. 2Cor 7 vs 15,Col 3 vs 10

The biblical understanding of human self-identity is radically God-centered.

How did we get this identity of Christ.

It is a gift from God.

By being born again.

What is an identity crisis and how does it develop?
Identity crisis is a state of confusion and desperation with regard to one’s identity.
The Christian Identity Crisis is the fact that we as Christians have forgotten that our
true identity is found in Christ alone. Apart from Him we are nothing. It is God who
gives us our identity and our purpose. Our reason for living. Period.

How to build your identity in Christ?

1) Focus on strengthening your relationship with God.
Start by deepening your relationship with Him through prayer, studying the Bible,
and seeking out guidance and community with fellow believers.

1)Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture

around you.

Importance of identity

Having a strong sense of identity is important because it:

 Creates self-awareness:
 Provides direction and motivation:
 gives you validation and increases your faith.
 puts you in a better position to understand your purpose


What does it mean to you to be a child of

God?
Our identity as a child of God means that we rely fully on God and trust in
His plan for our lives. Just like a little child trusts their parents fully to guide
them and protect them when they're little, so should we trust God as we
navigate our way through life with Him as our Father.
