STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

“The secret of getting ahead is getting started.” – Mark Twain

Throughout my life, I have been enthusiastic about problem-solving. During

my teenage years, I was always into analysing and observation of every
process that happened around me. Be it a simple mechanical axle or a supply
chain process. I observed I could devote a lot of my time in front of it without
feeling drained or annoyed. The profound interest in analysis and data
deriving made me recognise that there is a lot more to learn, acknowledge
and experiment with to achieve something essential and impressive. As far as
I'm concerned, education not only improves one's credentials but also
broadens one's awareness of the world in which we live. Throughout my
whole educational career, I have consistently demonstrated a strong interest
in math and science. My teachers would often take us to computer
laboratories during our time in elementary school. Paint, PowerPoint
presentations, and other tools were used there. My fascination with
computers came from my constant curiosity about what happens behind the
screen. I became increasingly interested in computers and how they operate
at that point. I started out learning about computers and data, as well as how
to send emails, organise a lot of data, and play simple games. I came to a
better understanding of the fragility of this complex data and how they are
used for essential purposes. I acquired probability and statistics during my
coursework, which assisted me in organising and analyzing. My interest in
computers grew every day, and I browsed the introductory courses with a
similar interest. In my pre-university schooling, I learned about the C
programming language for the first time because it is a fundamental language
that any computer stream student should be familiar with. At that time, I
found it challenging to learn C. I had to spend days learning C Language. But I
never thought it was a difficult assignment because I'm curious to learn. Along
with languages like C, and C++ I have also learned about courses like SQL, and
MySQL during my under graduation.
During my schooling, I was an exceptional student, achieving 9.5 CGPA in my
secondary school education at Sri Chaitanya Techno School, 86.5 per cent in
my Intermediate from Sri Sankara Vidyashramam, Chennai in 2015, and 7.34
CGPA in my under graduation at Sikkim Manipal University. While pursuing
my under graduation I used to visit my father’s friends' offices in my free time
where they are much involved in Logistics Management. This place is where
I’m involved to know the latest business technology and see the vision of
technology development in the latest business world out there. Then I was
slowly inclined to know the base of computer applications and their strong
support in our day-to-day life like Flipkart, Amazon, Zomato, Swiggy, Big
Basket, and many other e-commerce sites combining both the technology &
business techniques for providing a better service to their customers. This
experience geared me up to gain a master’s degree in enhancing my skills in
the upgraded business world.

Then I started my search to find a perfect course that matches my under

graduation including a great combination of business skills as well. First, I
wanted to do my master’s in India itself and started to choose a course that
suits me to gain the knowledge & skills that I am looking for. In this process, I
met one of my school seniors who completed his master’s in the UK. I told
him about my idea of pursuing a master's and also the course I’m searching
for. Then he gave me an idea of how education standards in the UK are
emerging into the world day by day. That one discussion made my path clear
without any confusion in pursuing my Master's from the UK.

I decided to pursue my master’s in Business Analytics and concluded that I

want to pursue my master's in the UK. The Universities in the UK are known
for their quality of teaching and research. Britain’s universities are one of the
largest educational destinations for international students for overseas
education. The system of education in the UK is more flexible and versatile.
About 30 per cent of international students choose the UK for their higher
studies. The United Kingdom boasts one of the world's best education
systems. The UK universities have excellent programmers in all the disciplines
they have to offer. The degrees awarded by the UK universities are
outstanding and the students get the opportunity to learn and work with
some of the outstanding researchers in the field. The qualifications from the
universities of the UK are recognized worldwide for their academic
excellency.

Of the finest, I have selected the Aston University which is known for its
world-class teachings and research. This university is one of the UK’s leading
research concentrated universities with well-experienced teaching
excellence and graduate employability where I can engage in an intellectually
stimulating, friendly, and supportive research environment. All these
standards made me choose the Aston University . Businesses have a critical
need to extract considerable information from the massive increase in
available data. These insights are intended to increase business profitability,
enhance productivity, improve operations, and enrich decision-making. To
accommodate this potential, businesses need employees trained in business
practices, statistics, and programming. The University’s master’s program in
Business Analytics has been designed to provide graduates with a thorough
understanding of how to use and deploy predictive analytics and visualization
for maximum results. Nowadays, business analytics professionals must have
a thorough understanding of how business works, which is why the program
includes courses in finance, accounting, economics, marketing, and
management as well. The person who completed a degree in business
analytics is a highly in-demand professional who can help organizations
understand and manage the profit-making potential of this gold mine of
information.

In conclusion, I am drawn to an advanced degree program in MS Business

Analytics from Aston University specifically because of the extensive
curriculum that offers the courses such as Database Management for
Business Analytics, Leadership and Team-building, Marketing Analytics, and
Social Media Marketing. I learned of the commendable practical learning
experiences and approachable professors at the university from some
students who graduated from the program, and I am excited to be a part of
such a constructive learning environment.
Besides the coursework, Marketing Analytics and Database Management for
Business Analytics will help me gain mastery, perspective, and confidence to
develop a substantial career. Presenting the impressive academic and applied
knowledge of a prestigious research university would provide me with the
confidence knowing that I would get the most forward-focused education in
MS Business Analytics. I would like to say that if granted admission into your
university I would perform to the best of my abilities and hope to acquire
skills that will help me fulfil my dreams. Finally, I take this opportunity to
thank you for enabling me to express myself.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
