1 – Architecture of the CPU

 Basic computer system model:
A computer system model is made up of hardware and software.
Hardware - any physical component that makes up a computer
Software - any program that runs on a computer

All computer systems must have a central
processing unit (CPU), an input device, an output
device, memory and secondary storage.
Input
devices take real world data and converts it into a form that can be stored on a
computer. They input from these devices is processed and the computer system
will generate outputs.
Input devices - mouse and keyboard, microphone on a phone
Output devices - computer screen, speaker (produces sound) on a phone
