Hydraulic lift
ISO 9001
TECHNICAL HANDBOOK 95/16/CE
Refer to the card "technical data of the lift" (ANNEX 0) to identify the type of
control of the lift.
- AUTOMATIC CONTROL: The passengers must push the button at the floor to call
the lift.
If the car is at the floor, the doors open automatically and allow the entry of the
persons or the goods.
If the car is in standstill at another floor, the lift moves to the floor; the doors open
automatically when the car reaches the desired floor.
The car answers to a call from the floor only if it is available (car stopped, landing
doors closed) and it has car preference for the passengers in the car until at the
end of the run.
- DOWN COLLECTIVE: when the passenger pushes the only button at floor the call
is recorded, (car available or not).
If the car is free or is coming down, the car answers to the calls of the upper floor,
then subsequently to the others, during his descent from the top floor.
The calls in the car are recorded instantaneously and processed in logical order,
according to the movement of the car.
- FULL COLLECTIVE (UP-DOWN): This control requires two call buttons to each of the
middle floors - one for up, one for down- so that the persons can push the proper
button for the up or down (only one button for the extreme floors) is fitted.
The calls in the car are recorded instantaneously and performed in logical order,
according to the movement of the car.
The passenger in the car must push the button corresponding to the desired floor
on the car station : if the call is accepted, the pushed button lights up. The doors
close and the car runs toward the desired floor.
The functions of the buttons and indicators are shown in the following chart.

ISO 9001
TECHNICAL HANDBOOK 95/16/CE
In the car there is an emergency intercom by word of mouth accessible also for
handicapped persons (see par. 2.2) according to the law.
When the car is stopped at the floor, the doors open automatically. The doors
close then automatically after a established period of time, (sufficient to allow to
persons and goods to enter and exit from the lift).
When the car is stopped at the floor, the doors unlock and the passenger can
open them and get out to the floor.
Hydraulic lift
ISO 9001
TECHNICAL HANDBOOK 95/16/CE
In some lifts the passenger must close the doors after the exit from the car (manual
doors).
A photocell device, near the doors, prevents the complete doors closing in case
of obstacles.
A safety edge device opens automatically the doors, if a person is bumped from
the door while he crosses the access, during the closing movement.
When for a breakdown or for any other reason, people are locked in the car, they
can signal the emergency, by pressing the alarm button.
In order to help the people in car, open the landing door through a special key, or
take the car to the lower floor by means of the red button on the hydraulic pump
unit (if present). Before performing each operation, refer to the chapter 2 of this
manual.
Because of the danger that this can involve, however these operations must be
performed by an experienced technician.
NOTE
Before effecting any help operation, contact the maintenance company.
The chapter gives the information referring to the functioning of the lift in normal
conditions.
Use the lift carrying out the instructions for the use and to avoid unsuitable
operation.
- the use of the lift is allowed to the people able to operate it in a sure way, or to
people accompanied with other persons properly trained to the use.

TECHNICAL HANDBOOK 95/16/CE
- Do not overload the maximum load of the lift (written inside of the car). Don't
load objects if the lift is not designed for the transport of goods.
- It is forbidden for children to use of the lift to not accompanied with person
properly trained to the use of the lift .
- Do not use the lift when there is not any other person in the building.
- Close the motor room using the key, to avoid the entrance of not experienced
people, that could cause damages to persons and goods.
- Do not insert fingers or any object between car doors, landing doors and shaft.
For the behavior in emergency, refer to the following chapter of this handbook.
