Classroom Management Strategies

1. Providing Motivation
Before every lesson proper, the teacher provides motivational activities or
“panggaganyak” to catch learners’ attention and to activate their prior knowledge.

2. Praising the learners/Giving positive feedback

The teacher always acknowledge the learners’ effort in doing their tasks, by giving them
positive comments and grade incentives when they are actively participating in different
activities.
3. Setting house rules/guidelines
Before the lesson starts, the teacher makes sure that the classroom is clean, chairs are
properly arranged, and students are properly seated.
4. Ensuring learners’ active participation
The teacher ensures students’ active participation through recitations, group reporting,
and performance tasks. This is also a venue for them to express their own ideas and
opinions about a given topic. Every student is given opportunities to raise questions to
clarify what they do not understand.
