Introduction
PAX Hotel is a 5-star boutique hotel located in Melbourne CBD. It currently employs 150 staff
in many different departments. Customer flow as the result of vacation season has resulted in
heavier workload in existing staffs of the hotel. So in order to reduce the workload, hotel
management has decided to recruit some additional personal. 1 full-time receptionist, 1 casual
valet driver, and 1 volunteer photographer are urgently required in order to reduce the workload
from the existing staffs of the PAX Hotel. This report includes the process and procedure that is
essential in recruiting staffs.

Job Description
1.

JOB TITLE: Receptionist

JOB TYPE: Full-time

LOCATION: 44 High street Melbourne VIC 3000

SUPERVISOR/MANAGER: Office Manager

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Receiving guests at the front desk by appropriately greeting, and assisting them with
check-in and check-out procedures
 Answering phone calls, vetting them, and forwarding them
 Oversee visitor reservations and bookings
 Respond to any queries and requests from guests
 Maintaining a clean and organized workspace

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE


Qualifications:
 High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
 Professional conduct and appearance
 Ability to keep a pleasant, friendly demeanor even under duress

Experience:
 2+ years of experience as a hotel receptionist or in a similar role

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Facilitate guests in opening and closing vehicle doors.
 Greet guests and visitors with the proper day's greetings.
 Explaining parking procedures to guests/visitors.
 Before handing over keys or the vehicle, compare the guest's token or receipt to the one
linked to the key.
 Park and retrieve visitors' vehicles efficiently and without causing harm to the vehicle.
 Give a sincere farewell to all departing visitors.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE


Qualifications:
 High school diploma, or equivalent preferred
 Qualified driver's license and a clean driving record

Experience:
 In a full-service hotel, prior Bell or Valet experience is preferred

 PAX Hotel is a 5-star boutique hotel located in Melbourne CBD. It currently employs
150 staff in many different departments.
 We are looking for receptionist for our Hotel. As a receptionist, you are required to
manage the front desk responsibilities, such as greeting and welcoming the guest arriving
at the hotel and also overseeing and managing their reservation and bookings as well as
receiving, managing and forwarding phone calls.
 The job will be full time, with hours to be worked between 9.00 am and 5.30 pm Monday
to Friday.
 Customer flow as the result of vacation season has resulted in heavier workload in
existing front desk officers. So in order to reduce the workload, hotel management has
decided to recruit some additional personal.
 You will be directly reporting to the office manager.

 We are looking for valet driver for our Hotel. As a valet driver, you are required to
manage the traffic inside the hotel, park and retrieve the guest’s vehicles as well as
explain the parking procedure to the guests.
 The job will be temporary, with hours to be worked between 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm
Monday to Friday.
 Customer flow as the result of vacation season has resulted in heavier workload in

 We are looking for Volunteer photographer for our Hotel. As a photographer, you are
required to click photos of the hotel premises and guests after asking for permission, edit
those photos and submit them to the responsible authorities.
 The job is voluntarily, with hours to be worked between 5:00 pm and 10:00 pm Monday
to Friday.
 Some of the customers requested for the photo shoot inside the premises. So as per their
requests, hotel management is looking for a volunteer photographer to capture the
pictures of the guests enjoying their stay at the hotel.
 You will be directly reporting to the operation manager.
 You must be skilled photographer with camera equipments handling skills.
 You must have photo editing skills.
 You need to be fluent in English.

3. Ordinary hours of work
Your ordinary hours of work will be 38 hours per week, plus any reasonable additional

4. Remuneration
4.1 You will be paid weekly at the rate of $46,000 per year.
4.2 The employer will also make superannuation payments on your behalf in accordance
with the Superannuation Guarantee (Administration) Act 1992.
