MOCK INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES

Please note the instructions to be followed during the Mock examination period 2024.

1. On the day of the exam there will be no teaching lessons.


2. Time: All candidates must report at 7.15 am in the morning. All students will leave at 2.00 pm as
per the exam schedule.
3.Transport: All students will leave at 2.00 pm as per the exam schedule. Those who have ONLY
one paper in the morning session will leave using the EXIT pass in their own transport, if not, if
the students use the school transport, will leave by 2.00pm.
4. Uniform: Students must be present in complete school uniform as per the school uniform policy
for the exam.

5. Accessories/Stationeries – Students should bring their own stationery. All examination


equipment should be stored in clear plastic bags/cases only and should contain;
• Pencil, two BLACK ball point pens, ruler, rubber
• Correct calculator without cover (unless specified that calculators are
not allowed for the particular examination)
• Items specified for examination – geometry sets without the case.
• Water bottle and sanitizing bottle without any labels will be allowed
inside the exam room.
• No school bags are allowed during the examination period.
• Students must carry all belongings like stationery bag and water
bottle in a clear plastic bag.
6. Students must carefully check the seating plan displayed on the outside of the examination
venue.
7. Entry to the exam hall
At the entrance
• Candidates must show the electronic statement of entry (ESOE) at the entrance of the
exam venue or in their devices.
• Checking of the unauthorized material and devices (electronic devices or smart watched)
will be done by the invigilators at the entrance of the exam venue. Students are NOT
allowed to bring Materials or MOBILE PHONES or SMART WATCHES inside the exam
venue.
Inside the exam hall
• Students must carefully proceed to the seat allotted as per the seating plan, without
touching anything in the exam hall, take the seat and keep the stationery, the food
packet and water bottle on the floor.
• The students will patiently wait for further instructions to be followed. If there are any
queries the candidate will raise their hand and the invigilator will attend to their
queries.
8. Students must read all the instructions stated on the question paper or answer scripts very
carefully and fill in the details as per the requirement before the start of the examination.
9. Students will not be allowed to borrow any material from the invigilator.
10. Invigilator will not answer any question unless the question paper is incomplete or badly
printed.
11. Students will not be allowed to go to the restroom during the examination within 2 hours of the
duration of the exam paper.
12. Students need to be alert to listen to ‘The 5-minute warning’ by the invigilator before the end of
the examination.

At the end of the exam

• The invigilator will instruct to stop writing at the end of the examination. Candidates will
immediately stop writing. Those who have used additional papers must place them in
the correct order and attach them together with the string provided.
• When leaving the exam venue, candidates must leave behind the question paper,
answer booklet or answer paper, rough work or any other used or unused materials.
• Candidates will sit quietly and wait for the instructions from the invigilator to exit.
• Students will leave the exam hall only when the invigilator will inform them.
• Students must follow the exit system to leave the exam hall.

16. Students must ensure that they collect all their stationeries before leaving the exam hall.

Emergencies (illness, injury, severe family distress, flu symptoms etc.)

Students need to inform the school beforehand if they are displaying any symptoms of
infectious disease or in contact with symptomatic people or have travelled to places restricted by
the local authorities.
i. If a student displays infectious symptoms during the exam, then the candidate
will be kept into the isolation room. Further procedure will be followed as per
the preventive measures by the school.
