So, since our last presentation, Ive made a few changes to my branding.
Through rebranding Half Price Books, I would like to downplay their emphasis of affordability while raising awareness of their strong roots in the green movement, all while using playful and nostalgic aesthetics to appeal to a book-loving audience.

If you take all the uff and feather out of that, here are my brand attributes. Since our last gathering, Ive gone ahead and added humorous. It was inevitable that it would nd its way in there.

Now though, it is preserving and recycling books. I know I wanted to down play the whole second-hand aspect. But I kind of, accidentally, made it disappear. So now its back.
B U T W H A T A B O U T T H E G O O D I E S ?
First in the line of Early bird swag is the business car! Why is it just laying there though?!
This business card is also a bookmark! Its hard to lose an important business card if youre using to it keep you place in your newly purchased second-hand book!
As for the stationary, there are two variations. First is the colored version. On the front it has the books as corner ornaments, and a new element to the core graphics, the ribbon, which is featuring our tagline. A touch of playfulness, but not too much because stationary means serious business, is the bird that chirps your signature, and the scaled and cropped brandmark, absracted to loops, on the back.
The second version of the stationary is very similar, but is in black and white, if color is either not available, or not economical at the time. :)
The Envelope!
The envelope features the bright red color from our color palette, and at rst appears to be quite classical. But open up your letter and PEEP! Theres one of our bird friends, reminding you that we preserve and recycle books. And hey, maybe you can remember to recycle this envelope.
The large scale graphic is a bright, to-the point billboard. Again, this massive bird chirps the tagline, while the style of the book reminds you that you can get the classics here!
The employee shirts are bold and red, with a bit of are on the bottom and sleeves of the shirt. This are comes in the form of little bird tracks. Bright color and friendly graphics (along with a big smile!) makes this employee approachable and just like you. :D
Purchased books can be carried out in these recycled-paper bags, if you decide that you need a bag. Just like the back of the stationary, these bags use the brandmarks as a squiggley, curly pattern.
On the webpage, we see our early bird friend, helping you understand how our stores work! On the original webpage, there was a lot of clutter and extra noise, not to mention that every page was very different graphically. Now its unied! :)
