Dear Human Resources Team of Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society. I am writing to

express my interest in applying for the vacancy M&E Coordinator within the
organization. I am strongly convinced by this opportunity for several reasons. In the
first place, since I began collaborating with the ICRC in protection, I felt identified with
the humanitarian organizations values and its commitment to society to support in
vulnerable situations, and in this way contribute to changing the lives of surrounding
populations of the world. I have obtained experience and skills that have allowed me to
achieve certain milestones, which in turn have led me to be currently qualified for this
position

Firstly, I am fully experienced in all the phases of data and information management,
from the design of the strategy to the collection, cleaning, preparation, analysis,
reporting and storage of protection data. In addition, I have been proactive in
developing tools such as infographics, reports, graphs, maps, and dashboards that
allow the teams to make decisions about protection operations, as well as to monitor
and evaluate their activities, and justify them to stakeholders. In addition, I have been
involved in the process of technical data support to the field teams at the sub-
delegation and delegation levels, as well as the reporting of figures and indicators at
the country, region, and headquarters level.

On the other hand, I have focused my profession and training in the handling,
management, monitoring and analysis of data and information in the humanitarian
field, which has allowed me to obtain hard skills that I consider essential for this
position. Such skills include Data Management; I am proficient in the entire process of
collecting raw data, its storage and management in a database, until its transformation
into an analytical information product, using data analysis tools such as Excel,
Tableau, PowerBI or R. In addition, I have strong experience in conducting statistical
analysis of information, to understand the reasons for the behavior of the data and
facilitate decision-making within operations. In terms of data protection, through my
experience of working in the protection field, I know the importance of correct
management of our beneficiary’s data, and that the protection of personal data is a
form of protection. Finally, a high level of problem solving, leadership, teamwork,
results orientation, and attention to detail are some of my soft skills vital to this role. In
addition, I consider that for this position my beneficiary and client focus, as well as
experience of representing a humanitarian organization in accordance with its
standards, codes of conduct and ways of working are of particular asset.

Finally, I spent three years after graduating university as an Engineer in the data
analysis field, and the last year and a half in the protection data management field as a
Protection Data Administrator. During this period, enjoyed supporting the protection
teams in generating data products that allow them to make decisions, justify their
 operations and understand better their procedures. Nevertheless, I am looking forward
to facing more challenging responsibilities with a humanitarian organization like yours,
and I consider that as Data Analysis Specialist I would have more freedom to show
and develop my skills related to the position. Also, I want to continue to grow in my
specialty, while helping vulnerable people in need in my country. In the future, I would
like to work abroad, focusing on data analysis activities that could help in protecting
and defending the rights of vulnerable people. Finally, I have planned to do a master's
degree in management and data analysis that will allow me to strengthen my skills and
develop new ones. I believe this will further strengthen my abilities to collaborate with
the organization in a more optimal and efficient way.
