Changes in the Machinery of life

Due to the changes brought by science, it made a big difference in the way people used to live.
Because of the passage of time, various machines where gradually invented that brought great
convenience to everyone’s livelihood. Despite this convenience, it also has a great impact that can be
harmful to everyone.

It has been seven decades since the launched of what is considered the first Artificial
Intelligence (AI) in America. It is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially
computer systems. Specific AI application includes expert systems, natural language processing, speech
recognition, and machine vision.

But this technology, which has the potential to help billions of people, also creates new
challenges for citizens and governments around the world. From government interference to data
breaches and cyberattacks, recent events showed that technology changed how we think, create, and
work.

Due to this modifications, Senator Imee Marcos concerned about the imminent loss of jobs,
particularly in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM)
companies, which she believed has great job creation potential. She also warned the senate to
reinvestigate the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the possible displacement of workers in the
countries services and Manufacturing sectors.

These implications indicate that the government needs to pay more attention to such matters.
AI really helps people a lot, making work easier, giving help in academic matters, and quick access to
everything around them like weather updates.

But we need to consider its possible consequences in the life of each person, such as job loss,
everyone being lazy, and the production of works without creativity – that only comes from humans. AI
is indeed a big change and help to everyone, but if we let it go, it will harm us and come to the point
where it will replace us.
