Subject Description: This course focuses on the application of scientific knowledge and the solution of
practical problems in a physical environment. It is designed to bridge the gap between
theoretical science and daily living.

Situation: As a Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) officer, your role is crucial in ensuring
the safety and resilience of the community in the face of potential disasters and emergencies. You
have been tasked with identifying potential risks and implementing preventative actions and
advocate reducing the damage caused by disasters, using statistical tools as evidence supporting
the proposed action plans.

Standards: The mitigation plan must be aligned and appropriate to their areas and disasters to be addressed. It
must also contain factual data and the proposed action plan must follow the SMART goals. The
