NOTICE

The Eighteenth (18th) Convocation of the Institute will be held on 18th October,
2023 (Wednesday) for award of B.Tech./M.Tech./M.Sc./MBA/Ph.D degrees to 2022
pass out students.

Shri Banwarilal Purohit, Hon’ble Governor Punjab and Administrator, UT,

Chandigarh has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest. Shri Sonam Wangchuk,
renowned Ladakh-based Engineer will be the Guest of Honour.

The Venue of the Convocation shall be the Central Seminar Hall of the Institute.
Compulsory dress rehearsal will be held on 17th October, 2023 at 2.30 pm. No
entry shall be allowed after this. Only those students who will attend the dress
rehearsal will be allowed to attend the Convocation on 18.10.2023.

All degree recipients and topper of the each programme are advised to register
themselves for participation in the Convocation by 3rd October 2023 (5.00 pm) by
filling up the Online Consent Form available on the Institute website. Any request
received after specified date will not be considered for registration (Topper
students are being informed through the email separately).

Convocation Fee: Rs.1,000/- shall be charged from each degree recipient invited to
attend the convocation ceremony as convocation fee. The stole shall be provided by
the Institute. The details of the dress code are mentioned in Annexure-I

DRESS CODE FOR DEGREE RECIPIENTS FOR THE 18th CONVOCATION

Eighteenth (18th) Convocation of the Institute will be held on 18.10.2023. Following shall be the dress
code for the Convocation and the Degree recipients are required to make arrangements for
Convocation dress of their own:

Degree Recipients (Male):

Attire Type : Pyjama and Kurta/Shirt (Off white)

Sleeves Length of Kurta : Full Sleeves
Length of Kurta : Till the knees
Style of Kurta : Nehru Style
Degree Recipients (Female):

Attire Type : Chudidar (or salwar) and Kurta, Chudidar/Salwar (Off white)
Sleeves Length of Kurta : Full or 3/4th
Length of Kurta : Till the knees
Style of Kurta : Preferably Nehru Style
OR

SAREE : Saree and Blouse, Saree (Off White) with self-design, Blouse
matching with Stole (with sleeves)
STOLE:

Note: The Institute shall provide STOLE during the rehearsal of the Convocation.
FOOTWEAR
Formal Shoes/Jutti or sandals only. Candidates with casual/bathroom slippers will be not permitted.
Those degree recipients who will not be wearing Convocation dress as per above code, will
not be allowed to enter the auditorium hall or receive the degree in person.
Convocation Fee: Rs. 1,000/- shall be charged from each degree recipient interested to attend the
convocation ceremony as convocation fee for all the convocation related expenses including stole.
