The question paper will have a total of 50 questions (25 questions from basic oceanography and
25 questions from basic research aptitude). Each question will have two marks. All the
questions will be of objective nature with three to four options.

No negative marking. All questions need to be attempted. No extra optional questions.

The question paper (in MS Word) will be mailed to the respective candidates’ mail ID from the
Director, Oceanography’s official mail ID. They have to answer in the word file and convert it to
