To all of you who are present here today, especially to our
Campus Minister Rev. Fr. Sanbiko Yakubos, SVD and to our
Board of Judges, Dr. Elmerita B. Palcon, our Academic Officer, Dr. Maylene R. Pambalan, our Research Director and Quality Assurance Officer, Dr. Mark Albert Brigola, the Principal of the Grade School Department, Good afternoon. First, I would like to Congratulate the Science Club Advisers and student for organizing this event or what we call the Science Club Culminating Activity and of course to all the different discipline clubs. What an extraordinary combination of creativity and knowledge you bring in this unique event! Your commitment both in science and sustainability is truly inspiring. Under the banner of “Global Science for Global Well-being,” you embark on a journey that combines the power of knowledge and the beauty of sustainability. This fusion of science and creativity represents a beacon of hope and inspiration for our world. Remember, in science and in life, we often find solutions in unexpected places, just like our trashion show. Embrace the spirit of innovation and creativity that has brought us together today. Each piece you've crafted from recycled materials not only showcases your talent but also your commitment to a greener future. My dear students, this year’s Science Month Celebration calls for every one of us to respect nature and live with its processes. It has warned us many times of its destructive power. It has delivered its message of unfortunate fate in the hands of materialism and greed of many through the intellect and understanding of our scientists and environmentalists. Let this event remind us that science is not just a subject in school; it's a way of thinking, problem-solving, and making the world a better place. You are the scientists of tomorrow, and your passion for knowledge and environmental stewardship is a sign of optimism. As you walk down that trashion runway, remember that every step you take is a stride toward a brighter, cleaner, and more sustainable future. Keep exploring, experimenting, and pushing the boundaries of what's possible. Again, Congratulations to each one of you for your remarkable achievements. Let this culmination activity be a testament to your potential and a reminder of the endless possibilities that await you in the world of science. Thank you for being the change-makers we need. Your journey is just beginning, and I have no doubt that you will continue to amaze us all. Let us listen to the cries of mother nature. Let us nurture nature for the benefit of the generations to come. Students, let us all be responsible members, not just of the human but the biological society where we belong. Thank you and good afternoon!
