THINK ZEBRA!™
Hi Julia,
April is National Primary Immunodeficiency Awareness Month, and at
CSL Plasma, we want to spread the word about these conditions and
the life-saving therapies needed to treat them.
Patients with primary immunodeficiency, or PI, identify with zebras. Yes, you
read that right! In medical school, many doctors learn the saying, “When you
hear hoof beats, think horses, not zebras.” They are taught to focus on the
likeliest possibilities when making a diagnosis, not the unusual ones.
Patients with PI are the zebras of the medical world.
Thanks to your plasma donations, patients with PI are treated with the
therapies they need. Without these therapies, many patients could have
severe and recurring pneumonia, ear and throat infections, stomach
problems and other medical issues.
In honor of World PI week, click here or scan the QR code below to be a part
of THINK ZEBRA!™ and help patients and their families. You can also reach
out to CSL Plasma staff members for more information.

Let’s spread the word about PI and continue to Do the Amazing by donating
plasma! Our patients will thank you.
