Learning Competency/ies: The Learners: Code:
Evaluate a function M11GM-11a-2
Key Concepts/Understanding to be Evaluating Functions mean replacing the variable
Developed: in the function, in this case x, with a value from the
function’s domain and computing the result. To
denote that we are evaluating f at a for in the
domain of f, we write f(a).

4. PROCEDURES
4.1 Introductory Activity Activity 1: Picture Analysis. A picture of illegal drugs
5 minutes will be presented to the class. The learners will give their
knowledge about the effects of using illegal drugs.
1. 2 x−1 ,
what is the value of the expressionif x=2?
2. 3 x 2+ 2 x−4 ,
what is the value of the expressionif x=3 ?
2
3. x −4 x−1 ,
what is the value of the expressionif x=0?
4. ¿
what is the value of the expressionif x=−2 ?
5. ( x +2 ) / ( x 2−1 ) ,
what is the value of the expressionif x=−1?
4.3 Analysis Say: This time we will see the connection and the
5 minutes relevance of the activities we’ve done earlier.
Example:
1. If f ( x )=2 x 2−3 x+ 4 , what is f (−2 ) ?
Example:
4.8 Concluding Activity Exit Card: The learner will complete the following
3 minutes phrases:
I understand that …
I am confused with …
I do not understand about ________ and I need
individualized interaction with the teacher.
5. REMARKS
6. REFLECTION
A. No. of learners who earned 80%
in the evaluation
B. No. of learners who require
additional activities for
remediation
C. Did the lessons work? No. of
learners who have caught up
with the lesson.
D. No. of learners who continues to
require remediation.
E. Which of my learning strategies
worked well? Why did these
work?
F. What difficulties did I encounter
which my principal or supervisor
can help me solve?
